Hoka men's and women's size chart

Hoka shoes tend to comply with the brand's sizing scheme. Its shoe sizes also tend to be consistent with other popular athletic shoe brands.

So if you already have a pair of New Balance, Adidas, or ASICS shoes that fit you well, you can most likely go with the same size in Hoka shoes.

But to be even more certain, we highly recommend measuring your foot length first and then checking its corresponding US, UK, or EU size in the chart below. Luckily, Hoka is one of the few brands that offers precise foot length (in millimeters and inches) in its official size chart.

The sizing scheme of Hoka matches most running shoe brands, including New Balance and Adidas. However, half-size adjustments may be necessary for brands like Nike and ASICS.

Unisex Hoka shoes

Some Hoka models are built on unisex lasts and are referred to as All Gender shoes. They have the following size format:

M9/W10

M stands for men's size and W is for women's

Please note that Hoka's women's sizes are one US size bigger than men's. Ladies should refer to the number next to "W" when ordering unisex shoes from Hoka.

How Hoka running shoes fit

Most running shoes from Hoka have a snug, one-to-one fit with narrower-than-average toebox shapes. That includes the popular Hoka Clifton and Bondi series as well.

The brand's speed-oriented and race running shoes will have a tighter fit whereas stability and recovery shoes will offer more space for the toes. You can also expect more room in Hoka's lifestyle and walking shoes as well as in its hiking footwear.

Please check our detailed lab reviews to find out how each model fits.

Wide widths in Hoka running shoes

Because of their snugger-than-average toebox dimensions, you may want to consider a Wide or even Extra Wide option in your future pair of Hoka shoes. Even if that's not the case for other athletic brands you wear. The good news is that most of the current shoe offerings from Hoka are available in several width options.

Hoka is one of the few brands that provides a detailed chart with detailed measurements for each shoe width. Based on the charts provided on the brand's official website, the differences between Hoka shoe widths are the following:

  • 8 mm difference between Regular (D) and Wide (2E) for men
  • 4 mm difference between Wide (2E) and Extra Wide (4E) for men
  • 6 mm difference between Regular (B) and Wide (D) for women
  • there is no Extra Wide for women in Hoka

The charts below provide foot width measurements in millimeters.
