Traction. To improve durability, the Aosta 7.0 non-marking outsole is utilized in this shoe. It comes in a modified herringbone design that’s constructed to offer grip on clay and hard courts. The pivot point under the ball of the foot is added to provide a rotational grip. It aids in inhibiting the foot from slipping, while still allowing the wearer to glide with ease.
Protection. The technology responsible for putting a lot of life to the third-generation Bigshot Light footwear is the DragGuard. The rubber compound is assembled in high-wear zones at the bottom of the shoe, which is stretched until over the tip of the toe area, lateral and medial sides. This layer shields and protects the shoe from wearing out quickly during toe dragging and sliding.
Cushioning. Molded EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is the foam component that makes up the middle section of the shoe. This cushioning unit is utilized for buffering the foot from shock every time it lands on the ground. This responsive element is also devised to provide step-in comfort.
Midfoot support. The rigid 180 degree PSC (Plantar Support Chassis) forms as a midfoot support system that’s meant to impede the foot from rotating unwantedly. Through this system, the heel gets planted firmly on the ground for stability.
General composition. The outer membrane comes in two layers, specifically in mesh that’s reinforced by synthetic leather. The mesh underlay is targeted to grant breathability. Moisture is meant to escape through the mesh opening and ventilation holes on the synthetic material. The rigidity of the external layer grants support as it hinders the forefoot from slipping inside.
Comfort sources. The textile collar lining and padded tongue offer in-shoe comfort. Complementing these is the EVA-made sockliner.
Fit. The Stay-Tied Laces allow the wearer to cinch up the shoe to their desired fit. The use of this element minimizes the chances of getting the shoelaces undone. Though the majority of K-Swiss court shoes are known for having a wide toe box, this shoe is narrow in the forefoot.
- K-Swiss five-stripe logo on the medial and lateral sides is integrated into the leather design for added stability.
