When I first picked up these featherweight boots I was skeptical they would offer the same sort of protection. I’m now a convert.
Lightweight and cushioned, the Mistral GTX is still robust with excellent ankle support and protective toe and heel. Good grip too as I scrambled over shale and loose dirt.
They look and feel so good I often wear them on my daily walk from Clovelly to Bondi.

- Its redesigned midsole, which has a ribbed structure, promotes flexibility while being supportive. The additional felt layer enhances these benefits.
- The sole unit has a slightly rockered toe form. It promotes a natural rolling motion and smooth toe off.
- The semblance of the upper is also updated to enhance breathability and pliability. A Gore-Tex Performance Comfort lining renders waterproofness and moderate insulation. Its lacing hardware and last used are also revised for a better fit.

This high-cut hiking boot from Scarpa has a water-resistant suede (1.8 - 2.0 mm) upper. It is patterned with nylon panels which grant flexibility. The inner lining, a Gore-Tex laminate, allows the foot to breathe and be protected during water encounters. Also, the visible perforations on the upper enhance breathability.
The foot is shielded from bumps and scrapes by the toe and heel rand. It also has a support system at the back of the foot called the Heel Tension System. Thic component provides lateral stability. Furthermore, the boot's lacing hardware permits easy closure.
