Vans Chima Pro 2 History

First called the Van Doren Rubber Company, Vans was introduced in 1966 and founded by siblings Paul and Jim Van Doren. They ventured out as a casual footwear company at first, but an accidental market took notice due to their shoe's grippy rubber waffle outsoles. Eventually, the brand embraced their accidental clientele by designing and manufacturing more shoes that could stand up against skateboarding's heavy abuse of footwear.

From there on Vans has established their reputation in the world of skateboarding and is now deeply rooted in the culture. As part of their marketing, the brand started sponsoring pro skateboarders to represent the brand and help design new sneaker models. One of the skaters that were tapped is Australian skater Chima Ferguson who is known for nonchalantly acing switch tricks like it's a stroll in the park.

The Vans Chima Pro 2 is Ferguson's second signature shoe, and it exhibits the rider's effortless style. This shoe is available in multiple colorway options and is decked out with skate shoe essentials to help nail your next trick. Colorways include Cub Dark Gum, Black White, Blackout, Dark Denim Dachshund, Pewter / True White, and Classic White / Victoria Blue.
