Updates to Saucony Guide 9

  • The upper construction of the Saucony Guide 9 was enhanced through the lighter FlexFilm no-sew overlays that give a flexible fit without affecting the shoe’s underfoot support.
  • The 9th version of the Saucony Guide comes with a new TRI-FLEX outsole that compliments well with the EVERUN topsole. It provides a better ground contact while giving flexibility and traction.
  • It features the brand new EVERUN continuous cushioning element that provides enough cushioning throughout the run. It also gives a much lively and flexible ride.

Size and fit

The Saucony Guide 9 comes in a regular shoe length. It is also available in wider width. It can accommodate runners who have a medium-sized heel, forefoot, and mid-foot areas, allowing runners with regular foot shapes experienced great fitting.


Outsole

The outsole unit has the Injection Blown Rubber (IBR+) Technology which is much lighter as compared to the standard blown rubber. It provides enhanced cushioning and offers a more responsive ride.

The entire outsole of the Saucony Guide 9 was coated with the XT-900,a carbon rubber element that provides impressive traction and added durability.

The Flex Grooves technology allows more flexibility. It allows the foot to bend and move naturally. With this flexibility attribute, runners can have an enhanced running experience in a much effective manner.


Midsole

The Saucony’s EVERUN technology provides an additional layer of cushioning that helps in distributing forces of impact during foot landing. It offers a flexible ride and help runners have an energized running experience in every stride with its energy-return properties. The EVERUN material is also present in the midsole of the Saucony Guide 10.

The midsole use the SSL EVA technology that maximizes rebound. It also gives added durability while minimizing the weight.

The SRC Landing Zone offers a durable shock absorption in the heel crashpad. It allows a smooth mid-foot transition.


Upper

The upper of the Guide 9 features the FlexFilm, a smoother material that offers a secure, breathable and flexible fit.

The RUNDRY Collar Lining material in the shoe’s upper provides an impressive moisture wicking properties. It secures the heel and gives a plush feel for comfort.

The ComfortLite Sock Liner element contours the shape of the arch and the heel. It helps in reducing the force in the forefoot while giving a softer and more secure-fitting.
