Notable features of the Salomon Tech Lite
- Designed for country hikes and city strolls, the Salomon Tech Lite features a super light seamless construction using 60-70% recycled materials. It has a collapsible heel so you can wear it like a normal shoe or slide it on and off like a sandal.
- This hiking shoe from Salomon is equipped with the Contagrip outsole which works well on hard and smooth or soft and loose surfaces.
Grip that can be trusted
This hiking shoe is powered by the Contagrip outsole - a long-wearing rubber sole designed to survive tough conditions. It features a pretty aggressive lug pattern that works well on dry and wet surfaces.
There are siping or cuts along the edges that help with the extraction of water.
Salomon's Contragrip soles are a mix of rubber compounds of varying densities. This means that different zones or areas of the outsole are either firmer or softer, depending on what texture or density is more appropriate for those parts.
Salomon Tech Lite: Keeps the feet pain-free
The shoe midsole consists of a high-performance EVA foam. It's a lightweight cushioning material that has great shock absorption and energy return properties.
EVA stands for ethylene-vinyl acetate which is highly flexible and resilient. EVA's ability to reduce the strain on the foot by absorbing impact makes the Salomon Tech Lite a very comfortable shoe that can be used for hours of walking.
For added cushioning and comfort, this shoe comes with an EVA sockliner.
Small on waste, big on comfort
This shoe has a durable upper made with very lightweight synthetic webbing and a single layer of mesh for maximum breathability.
More interestingly, it's made of 60-70% recycled PET as part of Salomon's effort to pursue sustainable shoe construction.
The Salomon Tech Lite also comes with a sockliner cover made from 40% coffee beans and 70% recycled laces.
