Overview of this review
Size and fit
Much like the rest of the models from the Reebok Club C collection, this limited-edition sneaker is available in both men’s and women’s sizing. For those with wide feet, many reviews suggest getting this half a size bigger for ample forefoot room.
As this retro trainer has a removable insole, one can opt to replace it with its own orthotics for a more preferred and comfortable fit. Moreover, the padded terry-lined heel offers the much-needed softness and cushion to the feet.
Reebok Tom And Jerry Club C 85 Style
When a timeless sneaker in cream color is given the make-up of a beloved cartoon show, one can rock it for Friday dress-down in the office or just wing it with casual attire.
Ladies can still look like the boss in a turtle-neck, long-sleeved white top, a pair of regular fit brown trousers, and accessorized with two slim gold necklaces and a loose gray blazer.
Men can keep the chill in a pair of ripped denim jeans, folded at the seams, white round neck shirt, and a black blazer jacket to keep that fashion status on point.
Keeping that white chalk leather of the original Reebok Club C 85 design, this highly-anticipated collaboration features line-drawings not only of the two main characters, Tom and Jerry, but also printed all over the upper are various objects the cat-and-mouse rivals use in their efforts to outbid each other.
The words, “Triple the Mischief Triple the Trouble Triple the Fun” are printed on the tongue along with the Reebok vector logo.
On the right insole is a drawing of Tom the cat shaking hands with Jerry the mouse amidst a green background. While the left insole bears the classic Tom and Jerry branding in red and yellow fonts.
Reebok Tom And Jerry Club C 85 History
Following in the footsteps of the successful Reebok Revenge Plus, the shoe manufacturer released Reebok Club C in 1985.
The first Reebok Club C was designed under the direction of Paul Brown to fulfill the tennis players’ need for a durable performance shoe. At first glance, it is a doppelganger of the Revenge Plus (which was later renamed to Club C) but except for the visible stripe that spans the sidewalls.
With the stripes absent, the improved version of the Revenge now suited the minimalist dress code of the tennis sport. The Club C also bears Reebok’s signature label window beside Britain’s Union Jack flag.
Entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. partnered with Reebok in 2020 to memorialize 80 years of its long-time animated fictional series, Tom and Jerry, through a collection of 4 Reebok iconic shoes and apparel called The Tom and Jerry collection.
The shoe’s clean yet sleek silhouette is among the factors that enabled the shoe to evolve from a performance model into a lifestyle staple.
