4 Best Reebok Trainers in 2024

We buy shoes ourselves. We earn commissions when you buy through us, at no extra cost. Why trust us

Reebok may be overshadowed by bigger athletic and sneaker brands, but it’s still one of the few labels associated with anything classic!

But there’s more to Reebok than its heritage-inspired holy grails. Its stellar lineup stretches from minimalist to athleisure. No matter what your style preferences are, this brand gets you covered.

We subjected each shoe here through a rigorous endurance and stability test. We personally acquired them just to carefully scrutinise each part, feature, and flaw. We reviewed them point by point so that we could extract the cream of the crop. Those that end up among our top picks excel among the rest.

How we test trainers

  • We shop for all the Reebok trainers we test. We make sure that we pay every last cent without the aid of other entities, especially the brand because we want to be as fair-minded as possible.
  • We spend several weeks wearing this shoe practically everywhere to see how it fares in comfort, fit, flexibility, durability, and traction from this system. We expose the shoes to different circumstances and we mark all of our observations.
  • After that, we get more scientific and focused on details. We perform tests inside our lab to measure, scale, and score the properties of the shoes. Additionally, we cut the shoes into pieces so we will not miss anything, even the tiniest details.

Best Reebok trainers overall

What makes it the best?

Just one look at the Reebok Club C 85 Vintage, and we could already say, “That is what vintage looks like.” Oh, the nostalgia that it triggered; and it was even made of real classic leather!  More than just retro looks and feel, this shoe also delivered amazing upper durability and a pretty lightweight structure. Because of all this goodness, we think this one is the best throwback sneaker Reebok has come up with so far.

We ascertained the authenticity of the leather used in the upper by subjecting it to open flame from our torch. The smell of burning air was unmistakable, so was its resistance to being burned.

Being made of real leather, we expected the Reebok Club C 85 Vintage to resist our Dremel drilling. We were not disappointed. The mark left by the Dremel’s high-pressure assault was no more than a scratch! Hence, it got a 4 out of 5 for toebox durability.

Our weighing scale in the lab showed that this shoe weighed 11.96 ounces or 339 grammes. This number is way lower than the 14.04 oz (398g) average we have on record. No wonder our feet never felt burdened even after walking for a long time in this shoe.

Stay away from the Reebok Club C 85 Vintage, though, if you are a wide-footer. This shoe tapers too sharply toward the toe. The toebox at its widest was 97.5 mm wide while the big toe point was only 69.8 mm wide.

Pros

  • Flexible and comfy
  • Generously padded
  • Lightweight
  • Durable toebox
  • Fine quality finish
  • Extremely stable
  • Good traction on most surfaces
  • Old-school wonder
  • Versatile
  • Goes with most outfits
  • Budget-friendly

Cons

  • Short-term support
  • Firm midsole
  • Creases easily
  • Lacks airflow

Reebok trainers with the best upper materials

What makes it the best?

The Phase Court sports a simple and retro aesthetic, made of authentic leather as validated by our lab tests. Because of this, we chose it as the Reebok sneaker with the best upper materials which not only looks good but also keeps us surefooted and protected. It's versatile with every outfit and for different daily activities thanks to its flexible midsole.

For only £90, we couldn’t believe the leather and suede overlays used were real. However, upon checking against our torch test, the materials didn’t melt, confirming their authenticity. Our Dremel test further cements the quality of the upper with its perfect score for toebox durability.

The leather keeps our feet centred while the firm midsole underneath stabilises our strides. Our durometer shows a high 41.0 HA rating, 39.9% firmer than average! However, this firmness is needed for underfoot protection because its 26.4/15.1 mm stack is grounded.

Thankfully, the midsole is flexible which makes foot-bending a lot easier. Our flex test confirms it’s 13.0% more adaptive than average, making it suitable for walks and other activities. However, we don’t recommend this shoe for all-day, everyday wear since its firm midsole and heavy build can lead to an earlier onset of fatigue.

Pros

  • Super durable upper materials
  • Very flexible and quite comfy
  • Authentic leather and suede
  • High-quality upper design
  • Pretty stable
  • Looks good with basically everything
  • Really cool 90's retro style
  • Fantastic value for money

Cons

  • On the heavier side
  • Outsole lacks durability
  • Not for tennis

Best classic Reebok trainers

What makes it the best?

Reebok Classic Leather embodies timeless elegance and top-of-the-line quality, earning its title as the best classic pair from Reebok. This sneaker has that ageless appeal that just looks marvellous in whatever era. We found that the value for the price of £80 is just tremendous, from versatility and robustness to the enjoyable foot sensation. To cap it all, it is 36.1% more affordable than most trainers.

Time isn’t the only thing that this sneaker defied but also wear and tear. We discovered that it withstands outdoor use and external elements exceptionally well. On the other hand, inside this sneaker, our feet found solace. We totally get a kick out of the plush midsole and well-padded interior that made us not mind prolonged hours on our feet.

The problem we found about this classic gem is it is susceptible to dirt. Therefore, constant wiping is a must. Unless you can look past this, we suggest going for other classics with materials that are not prone to easily looking trashed.

Pros

  • Mighty plush
  • Great investment
  • Leader of the pack
  • Supportive
  • Aesthetically well-rounded
  • Enduring
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Downgraded upper
  • Dirt-magnet

Best basketball Reebok trainers

What makes it the best?

We hailed Allen Iverson’s Reebok Question Mid as the king of basketball in Reebok’s sneaker army because of its no-frills traction, reliable breathability, and amazing stability. The Question Mid is already a lifestyle sneaker, but we surely didn’t mind wearing it in a few ball games. And it still worked!

Stopping on a sixpence was never an issue during our wear-tests. It did not even matter what type of surface we were playing or walking on. Hardwood, concrete, asphalt; the Reebok Question Mid didn’t have any qualms biting them all.

Despite its unusual thickness (14.3 mm vs the 9.2 mm average), the tongue was still able to let air in and out of the shoe. We confirmed this during our breathability assessments in the lab, pushing us to give this shoe an impressive 4 out of 5 for ventilation.

The platform of this basketball sneaker was wide, especially around the heel area. Our calliper measured that part to be 96.9 mm wide when the average was only 91.6 mm. Also, our manual assessments pushed us to give this shoe a 4 out of 5 for torsional rigidity. The wide platform and firm base allowed us high levels of stability and surefootedness.

At 16.90 ounces or 479 grammes, this shoe was definitely heavier than average (14.18 ounces or 402 grammes). We felt it, especially during our first steps.

Pros

  • Responsive cushioning
  • Solid side-to-side stability
  • Supportive ankle section
  • Grips on both indoor & outdoor courts
  • Highly durable build
  • Above-average breathability
  • Cosy interiors
  • Iconic silhouette

Cons

  • Not for wide feet
  • A bit weighty
