Reebok DMX Thrill History

One of the oldest footwear and apparel companies is Reebok. It has been a global brand for decades. The brand is founded by two brothers Jeff Foster and Joe Foster. It was known as J.W. Foster and Sons. With different categories of apparel, it covers almost all sports and fitness needs. The brand gained its first big break when they launched their first women’s aerobic sneakers.

In 2005, Adidas purchased Reebok as a subsidiary, bringing together powerhouse sporting apparel companies. Adidas had several famous celebrities to market Reebok like Shaquille O’Neal and Ronda Rousey.

But years before Adidas acquired Reebok, the brand has long been creating innovative technologies. Just the iconic DMX technology which was originally debuted back in 1997. This system allows air to run through connected pods and releases energy. The air moves from heel to forefoot and back as the user moves.

The first Reebok shoe with the DMX cushioning technology is one of Reebok classics, the DMX Run 10. Released in 1997, it was one of the first running iterations considered iconic for the comfort it provides. As a result of its success, many new iterations have been made years after, including the Reebok DMX Thrill.
