Hiring in Aveiro: YouTube host and content creator
Are you the new face of RunRepeat?
I'm Jens, founder of RunRepeat - the world's largest athletic shoe review site with 40 million people reading our reviews every year. We're looking for a new colleague who will be the face of RunRepeat - a scary and exciting opportunity, huh?

The job
This is a full-time job with standard benefits and us paying for relocation if needed.
Your goal is simple: make RunRepeat's shoe knowledge as useful and engaging on video as it is in writing.
We have previously done YouTube and Insta on and off, and are now ready to go all in for the next decade - and that's where YOU come into the picture. NO photography/videography experience is needed as we already have three photographers/videographers in our Aveiro lab who will handle the technical production. Your job is primarily the script and on-camera presentation.
Your core job
Transform our written reviews and guides from RunRepeat.com into video content:
- Scriptwriting
- Be the video presenter
Secondary responsibilities
- Ideation for other video content, reels and posts
- Follow trends within video / SoMe that could be relevant to our audience
- Community engagement on SoMe
- Help shape our YouTube strategy and continuously improve our formats based on performance, audience feedback and experimentation
- Report back on video performance
Other tasks, depending on your skills
- Review shoes and write buying guides
- Anything else that you can contribute with that's meaningful to the company
The ideal candidate
"Ideal" is often unattainable, but it's a way to paint a clear picture of the perfect candidate. Ensure you live up to all points in the "minimum required" in the table below. If you have elements from the "ideal" column, it's a plus.
| Minimum required | Ideal | |
| English proficiency | Fluent spoken English. | Native spoken English and an excellent communicator. |
| Running shoe knowledge | I don't care. You'll learn. | Finds our content shallow or insufficient at times. Has tried a ridiculous number of running shoes and actively follows niche shoe content. |
| Running interest | Exercises at least 3 hours per week, including some running. | Running is a major part of their life. Regularly participates in races, follows the sport closely, and obsessively consumes running content. |
| Education | I don't care | I don't care |
| Work experience | I don't care | Has previously been a video host |
| On camera | Engaging, natural | Engaging, natural |
| Shoe size | Any | Men's US 9 |
| Location | Lives within 1.5h of the lab | Lives in Aveiro or is willing to relocate |
| Future plans | This excites you | This is your dream job |
THIS is why you’ll love being part of our team
- 100% flexibility. No rules about when you work as long as you do your job. No 9 am to 6 pm. Do what works for YOU! I believe that you will need 3+ days per week in our lab in Aveiro, Portugal, but it depends on what tasks you're working on. The rest of your time can be done from wherever you prefer.
- We have minimal bureaucracy and high autonomy. At RunRepeat, you OWN your work. There are no deadlines other than those you set yourself.
- Barely any meetings. I myself have only 1 scheduled meeting per week, lasting 5 to 30 minutes.
- Run in any shoe you'd like from our lab.
- This is a unique opportunity for the right person. It's a role that can expand based on skills and performance. But first things first: video reviews and guides, and a lot of hard work.
- We're a small team of 12 people who have worked at RunRepeat for 6.7 years on average - apparently it's not so bad here after all. In the lab in Portugal, you will work closely with three photographers/videographers. The rest of the team is remote, working from around Europe. We meet once a year in a cool villa by the sea or in the mountains somewhere in Europe, and do fun things together - all paid for by the company.
How to apply
Send your application to me at jens@runrepeat.com with:
(1) A text covering all the points listed under 'The ideal candidate' (English proficiency, running shoe knowledge, running interest, education, work experience, on camera, shoe size, location and future plans).
(1) A short video about yourself, who you are outside of work, and why this job in particular excites you. No need to edit or perfect this video as long as I can both see and hear you, we're good.
I'll hire as soon as I find the right candidate - you better send your application sooner rather than later. I'm very much looking forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
Jens Jakob Andersen
