Its full-grain leather upper is lined with a Danner Dry membrane for water protection. A layer of PrimaLoft Gold is also embedded within the upper to keep the foot warm in frigid temperatures.
  • The boot’s Vibram SPE midsole provides a cushioned and supportive ride to the user. It’s paired with a Vibram Fuga outsole to deliver traction on wet and dry surfaces.

Size and fit

The Danner Mountain 600 Weatherized is a winter hiking boot for men and women. It comes in a range of whole and half-sizes. The boot is offered in medium width while a wide fit variant is only available for male adventurers. Moreover, it runs fairly true to size.

The gear is built on the Danner DPDX last which emphasizes a sleek profile without compromising comfort. Its lace-up closure system grants a customized and secure fit.

Supplying the Danner Mountain 600 Weatherized with traction is a Vibram Fuga outsole. It’s made of a Megagrip compound formulated for use in cold weather. The outsole’s self-adapting lugs are engineered to deliver grip on slick and snowy surfaces. Its front section extends towards the upper’s front tip to protect from stubbing.

This mid-top winter hiking boot uses a Vibram SPE midsole made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). It is designed to give cushioning and stability without easily breaking down. The midsole is paired with a nylon shank which makes the gear more rigid and resistant to contortion.

The Mountain 600 Weatherized is equipped with a removable Ortholite footbed. It has three layers (with different densities) to further improve the boot’s cushioning properties. The footbed’s open cell polyurethane construction enhances air circulation. Also, this component grants adequate support to the foot’s arch.

The Danner Mountain 600 Weatherized’s overall look and sturdiness comes mainly from its full-grain leather upper. It is lined with a Danner Dry membrane to keep water out while keeping the boot breathable. The upper is also infused with 200g of PrimaLoft Gold to maintain the warmth in cold temperatures.

The front closure uses metal hooks and eyelets to keep the lace in place. Its tongue and collar are padded to promote comfort.
