The On Cloud Dip is a very versatile active lifestyle shoe, so whatever you decide to do in them during your day, you should be covered.
- The On Cloud Dip is a product that is designed for those who welcome urban adventures. The aesthetics of the silhouette aim to be versatile enough to handle active lifestyles and fashion-forward exploits. A canvas upper resists wear-and-tear while the flexible Zero-Gravity foam offers consistent cushioning. Also, the CloudTec® elements that serve as both the midsole and outsole are exclusively designed to deliver a springy and flexible ride.
Regular sizing schemes were used when the On Cloud Dip was made. Runners are encouraged to use their usual choice of size when going for a purchase decision. Still, it is important to realize that being able to appreciate a secure yet pleasant in-shoe feel is influenced by personally testing the shoe and/or seeing reviews from other testers.
When it comes to the fit, the elements that affect the feeling of an accommodating wrap involve the semi-curved shape of the lasting board, as well as the material that is used for the upper unit.
The external pad of the On Cloud Dip is primarily made of CloudTec® elements, marshmallow-like nodes that offer targeted cushioning and support throughout the different phases of the gait cycle. Each isolated piece offers shock attenuation and energy return when they’re activated with each step. This technology is a staple in many of On Running’s products, including the iterations like the Cloudflow and the original Cloud.
Rubber protects the ends of each CloudTec® element. The durable nature of this protective layer averts damage from surface contact and continued use. Also, traction is a trait that can be appreciated because of the presence of the rubber.
Deep flex grooves horizontally and vertically line the outsole. These deep trenches are meant to make the platform as flexible as possible, thus permitting the natural way the foot goes through the gait cycle.
Zero-Gravity is a foam technology that is used for the cushioning unit on which the foot relaxes. This full-length piece has a lightweight structure that aims to prevent the feeling of being encumbered. It also offers responsive liftoffs and mitigated landings.
A Speedboard™ is placed on top of the main cushioning piece. This accouterment helps in the attainment of an energized push-off by bending during the preparation phase then springing back into its original shape when the action is rendered.
The upper unit of the On Cloud Dip is made of a canvas that has a ballistic-weave design. Durability and full support are the tenets of this configuration, and it allows the foot to experience a snug coverage that is also warm enough for cool weather.
The bottom part of the canvas upper has been dipped in rubber to make it waterproof. This element is also meant to heighten durability and resistance to abrasive contact with sharp objects and surfaces.
A speed lacing system graces the instep. Round yet thin cords snake through discreet eyelets. They are short yet stretchy, allowing for quick adjustments without having to loop-and-tie the end portions.
