Updates to Inov-8 TerraUltra 260
- Inov8 Terraultra 260 is a trail running shoe crafted to deliver high levels of shock absorption without compromising on ground feel. This running companion is infused with ExteroFlow midsole, which helps minimize the shock impact.
- Exterofit technology is incorporated in the upper section. This breathable mesh upper reacts to the natural movement of the foot when running.
- In the outsole section of the shoe is a rubber material called E-Grip outsole. This component provides a tremendous grip to keep the user grounded on hard trails.
Size and fit
Inov-8 TerraUltra 260 utilizes the standard running shoe length. It can fit the usual choices of consumers when it comes to size, though users are advised to try the shoe first before buying to ensure the right fit. Grooves in the outsole provide multi-directional flexibility. The Inov8's E-grip outsole delivers the right amount of grip needed in tracking challenging terrains.
The outsole is also coupled with the Zero drop, which is biochemically designed to adjust to the foot’s natural movement. Zero drop technology imitates barefoot-style running. This technology is also used in other trail running shoes like the Altra Lone Peak 4.0.
The 4mm cleats are also added in the outsole section for superior trail traction. These serve as water dispersal channels that give unparalleled grip and prevent aquaplaning.
The ExteroFlow technology in the midsole area is added to help minimize shock impact and deliver good level of underfoot cushioning without compromising on ground feel. It is infused with DFB shank that helps minimize the windlass effect and reduce the risk of repetitive injury. DFB shank also delivers good energy return, helping the user move faster and farther.
Utilized in the upper unit is the Exterofit technology. This breathable mesh upper adjusts to the natural movement and form of the foot when running longer distances. It allows air to easily permeate within the shoe, retaining a cooler and dryer environment.
A gusseted tongue is incorporated to prevent the debris from entering the shoe and an on-the-shoe gaiter hook is also added to provide a more secure attachment system where the user can attach an all-terrain gaiter to the shoe.
