My overall experience has been fairly pleasant. I just wish it was a little bit softer underfoot.

Overall, I’m just lukewarm on these shoes. They have some positive attributes going for them but I just wish the heel lock-in was a little better.

Overall running in the Under Armour RTTs was good. The rock plate seemed to do its job, as it protected the runner’s foot. It provided both comfort and support.

The rugged trail shoe lives up to that promise with solid protective layering inside and outside, including a reinforced toe bumper and plate that are smoothly integrated within the design.

  • 80 / 100 by Ultra Runner Podcast • Ben Zuehlsdorf • Level 3 expert

  • 85 / 100 by Run Oregon Blog • Nikki Mueller • Level 1 expert

I would recommend these shoes to casual trail runners as well as the tried and true trail runners, as I think they would do well for anyone looking to get off the main roads and into the mud and woodsy terrain.

  • 85 / 100 by Run Oregon Blog • Matt • Level 1 expert

While there does appear to be a good amount of tread on the bottom, a few walks and short runs around the neighborhood seem to indicate that this would be a solid pavement/earth trail shoe
