Puma Mercedes AMG Petronas RS-X3 History

The Puma Running System Technology (Puma RS) was introduced during the 80s when Puma released the RS-100. The RS-100 is a classic running shoe made of supreme cushioning with shock-absorbing qualities giving the wearer ample support on the feet.

Puma considered the RS-100 as a ground-breaking design, with its upper of colorful synthetic materials creating aesthetics of a puzzle. This technology became the signature of the RS family as it provides both stability and style.

The success of RS-100 was then followed by the RS-Computer, a running shoe that was definitely ahead of its time. RS-Computer was the first runner built with a computer chip on the heel that records distance, time, and calories. The shoe's futuristic design gave birth to the RS-X series that we know today.

The RS-X series released different silhouettes starting from RS-X, the RS-X Reinvention, the RS-X Toys (mostly known as the Rubiks Cube Collaboration), to the latest RS-X3. The RS-X3 is a revamped version of the first RS-X by using synthetic and textile materials with the same mechanism as its predecessor. Puma also added PU insole apart from its thick and comfortable midsole.
