The Skechers GOwalk 4 - Convertible is another member of the brand’s Performance walking shoe family. These shoes are ready to accommodate extended sessions of walking, be it for fitness, work, traveling, or leisure. The prominent feature of this specific pair is its convertible heel which easily turns the slip-on construction into a step-in one.
The bottom of the Skechers GOwalk 4 - Convertible is rubberized to protect the platform against the wear-and-tear of regular walking. Part of it extends upwards to form a toe bumper to keep the toes and the upper material safe when hitting hard objects or tripping. The rubber bottom is also made to be textured to render traction on both indoor and outdoor surfaces.
Four Goga Pillars are placed in line from heel to toes. The purpose of these round pods is to help the main cushioning unit guide the foot from the heel strike to the toe-off smoothly and efficiently.
The GOwalk 4 - Convertible employs the proprietary 5GEN midsole to deliver responsive cushioning. It is a lightweight, full-length foam unit which absorbs shock from each step, keeping the foot and lower extremities free from harmful impact.
The unit is designed to be tapered and elevated in the midfoot section to support the arch throughout the movement. It also contributes to the flexibility of the platform.
The Goga Max insole complements the midsole with added padding inside the shoe. It is created to adapt to the unique underfoot shape of the wearer for extra comfort.
The footbed of the trainer is lined with a bamboo material. It serves to prevent bacteria and odor from building up inside the footwear.
The shoe utilizes a nearly one-piece mesh upper to create a consistent coverage for the foot. The engineered mesh material is made to be highly breathable and expand together with the foot for a natural, unhindered experience.
As the name suggests, the Skechers GOwalk 4 - Convertible features a modifiable construction. Its soft heel panel is designed in such a way that it can be easily folded down to offer an effortless slip-on-and-off and freedom for the rearfoot. The wearer also has an option of keeping the back up.
The Quick-Fit Portal can be seen at the heel panel. It is a round aperture which assists in pulling on the footwear.
