Updates to Skechers GOrun Mojo

  • On the outsole is the Goga Matrix design which gives the shoe sufficient traction on most surfaces. The tread layout is not too complicated, but it does allow the outsole to bend, contract and expand together with the runner’s every foot movement.
  • This GOrun’s midsole is made with the patented 5GEN material by Skechers. It, mainly, provides most of the underfoot comfort, cushioning, and rebound. The material runs the shoe’s full length, giving the runner the right amount of bounce when walking or running.
  • The Goga Max insole found on top of the platform. This feature adds more rebound power, as well as cushioning to the trainer. Aside from that, it also amplifies the comfort felt when the runner puts the shoe on.
  • On the upper is a sandwich mesh fabric, which is highly breathable and stretchable. It keeps the inside environment of the shoe cool while adapting to the various foot shapes. The mesh material also offers enough durability to protect the shoe from various debris encountered during road runs, thereby preventing early wear or tear on the upper.

Size and fit

Skechers GOrun Mojo was designed using standard shoe measurements. Those interested will be able to get a pair in their usual running shoe sizes. It goes similarly with the width; runners can choose from medium width measurements – B- medium and D-medium for women and men, respectively.

Outsole

The outsole of the Skechers GOrun Mojo is made up of a standard rubber. This part gives the shoe its height and bouncy ride. It also offers reasonable protection underfoot, as well as enough grip and better ground feel with the Goga Matrix outsole design.

Midsole

The midsole of the Skechers GOrun Mojo is made with the 5GEN cushioning. Similar to common EVA foams, it was manufactured with the use of a compression technique. This specific way of midsole production gives the shoe the right amount of padding, comfort, and responsiveness.

When it comes to the midsole’s design, the developers made it parametrical. This is to even out the weight distribution and impact dissemination on the shoe. The result is a stable and supported landing.

Upper

The majority of the upper is made up of a sandwich mesh fabric. It’s a material that’s highly breathable, allowing the air to easily go in and out of the shoe, to deliver proper ventilation. The fabric also has elastic characteristics that enable it to mold to the shape of the runner’s foot for a better upper feel and a more customized fit.

Construction wise, the upper is cleatie-like. In order to put the shoe on with minimal effort, a soft stretch front panel was added. This entire construction delivers a snug and comfortable fit, keeping the runner feeling secure and protected.

To strengthen the upper’s construction, synthetic overlays were added to key areas. Specifically, the overlays have been introduced on the eyestay, the heel, as well as on the lateral sides of the shoe in the form of an “S” to act as a framework. The overlays lightly maintain the shape of the shoe, improving the fit and adding a bit of security.
