Bottom line

Touted for its top-notch comfort, beefy construction, and excellent traction - the Adidas Terrex Choleah Padded CP women's hiking boots have won the hearts of outdoorsy gals looking for a solid pair of outdoor winter boots. Aside from being supportive, grippy, and long-wearing, it is lined with the Climaproof membrane that protects the feet from rain or water.

This hiker, made especially for active women, is truly one of a kind. Unfortunately, it may run a little narrow. The synthetic fabric in the upper can also feel a little too snug for people with wide feet.

User reviews:

-Designed for winter use and abuse, this boot boasts of protective features to keep the foot warm and dry. These include the Climaproof waterproof membrane and the PrimaLoft insulation.

-Since winter can mean snow-packed grounds, slippery pavements, and icy trails, the Terrex Choleah has the Traxion outsole with multidirectional lugs for enhanced grip on varying terrains.

The Adidas Terrex Choleah Padded CP is a mid-cut boot with a stretchy synthetic upper that wraps the foot for a snug fit. Its lacing system only contains four eyelets so getting a secure fit is so much easy. This boot is very flexible which supports varying movements. There's also a pull loop at the back for easy wearing or taking off.

Like the other Terrex shoes from Adidas, this model uses the Traxion outsole that is made of high-quality rubber compound. The multidirectional lugs go all the way up to the top to ensure foot stability on different surfaces, from muddy trails to snow-packed roads and wet, slippery paths. Meanwhile, the cleats provide additional traction on soft grounds.

The midsole is made of lightweight EVA that offers plenty of cushioning and support. It is also flexible which enables the wearer to move nicely, safely, and quickly. Shoes with EVA midsoles feel comfortable even after hours of use. Thanks to its high shock absorption rate and bouncy effect.

This women's hiker features a protective upper made of synthetic materials. Easily noticeable are the decorative stitching details that make this boot even more appealing. Inside the shoe are two important materials - the Climaproof and Primaloft.

The former is a brand-exclusive waterproof membrane in the form of a treated shell that provides a warm and protective layer against harsh wind, rain, and snow. The latter, on the other hand, is a synthetic microfiber thermal insulation which is also commonly seen in other premium winter boots, that was originally developed for the U.S. Army. Together, these technologies create a warm, dry, and comfortable environment for the foot.

Furthermore, there is a synthetic rand that goes around where the sole and the upper are attached together which provides extra protection against the elements.
