Good to know
- The Adidas Questar Trail is a running shoe that’s designed for the trails, though it can be used on flat surfaces. Neutral runners are the target demographic of this daily runner. The façade has a street-ready look that caters to casual shoe enthusiasts.
- An upper unit with a closed construction prevents trail debris from entering the interior chamber. Printed overlays support the foot from the sides. Stitch-reinforced eyelets accommodate the round laces that adjust the tightness or looseness of the fit.
- The soft and flexible Cloudfoam is used for the midsole unit. It is responsible for protecting the foot from the impact forces. A rubber compound protects against the abrasive nature of the trails.
The Adidas Questar Trail was designed using the standard measurements, so runners are encouraged to use their regular preferences when it comes to size. The available width option is D – Medium. It is worth noting that this trail companion has been optimized using the foot dimensions of men.
TRAXION™ is used for the outsole unit of the Adidas Questar Trail. This full-length layer is tasked with preventing the surfaces from causing any damage to the rest of the sole unit, thereby preserving the structural integrity and health of the components. It is also the one that doles out traction.
Opposite-facing triangular gripping lugs are fashioned all over the outsole. These nodes aim to heighten the grip capacity of the outsole, ensuring movement control over the unpredictable terrains.
The midsole unit of the Questar Trail features the Cloudfoam, which is also the same midsole found in the popular Duramo 9. It is a cushioning material that runs from the heel to the toe. Its goal is to cushion each foot-landing and energize the liftoff phase. It is lightweight and flexible by design.
An Ortholite® sockliner is added on top of the Cloudfoam. This cushioned add-on provides extra support to the underfoot. It has anti-moisture and antimicrobial properties that ensure protection against odor-causing germs.
A mesh is used for the upper unit of the Adidas Questar Trail, and it has a close-knit configuration to prevent trail rubbish from entering the foot-chamber. The secure construction potentially improves the lifespan of the upper, as well.
Synthetic overlays are placed on the sides, acting as helpful layers that hold the foot in place. The lateral side of the forefoot has a thin print that averts the separation of the upper from the midsole due to the constant bending during the toe-off.
Thin, round laces adorn the instep, going through stitch-reinforced asymmetrical eyelets. These strands are responsible for adjusting the fit. They even go through a lace-anchor to prevent the tongue unit from deviating from its position.
A soft fabric serves as the internal lining, and it is meant to provide smooth and non-irritating wrap.
Fitcounter is a molded heel clip counter that is placed on the rear section. Its job is to hold the foot in place and prevent it from quivering or exiting the shoe unintentionally.
Pull tabs are placed on the back of the collar and the tip of the tongue unit. These additions are helpful when it comes to widening the mouth of the shoe and facilitating a quick and easy on-and-off wear.
