Updates to Adidas Questar TND

  • The Adidas Questar TND is a running shoe that’s designed for those who have neutral pronation. It makes use of a modern design that caters to the tastes of contemporary shoe enthusiasts. A breathable mesh graces the façade, bringing coolness and dryness to the wearer’s running experience. Its color shifts via light refraction and angular line-of-sight.
  • The midsole features a dual-density foam. It’s configured to be soft in the heel and midfoot sections and firm in the forefoot. Such an arrangement allows the wearer to feel comfortable during the foot-strike and enabled during the toe-off. Durable rubber covers the foam compound and protects it from the abrasive nature of the asphalt.

Size and fit

The Adidas Questar TND has a standard running shoe length. It accommodates the preferences of consumers when it comes to size. The available widths are B – Medium and D – Medium for women and men, respectively. The foot-shaped curve of the façade allows the wearer to slip into the interior chamber with ease.

The outsole unit of the Adidas Questar TND features a full-length rubber compound. It covers the foam midsole and shields it from the abrasive nature of the roads. Its grippy nature allows it to clamp onto the ground, delivering traction and surface control.

Non-prominent nodes and lugs are patterned all over the outer sole. The purpose of these arrays is to heighten traction, particularly enabling quick swerves, turns and brakes.

The Adidas Questar TND, same as the popular Adidas Duramo 9 uses the Cloudfoam TND which is a dual-density foam that aims to provide responsive cushioning and support for the wearer’s foot. A softer foam runs from the heel to the midfoot. It staves off impact shock and energizes the foot towards liftoff. The forefoot section has a firmer foam, which means that the toe-off is encouraged to be springy and more precise.

An Ortholite® footbed is placed right above the chief midsole foam. It adds a bit more cushioning for the underfoot. It also has antimicrobial and anti-moisture properties which contribute to a healthy and odor-free in-shoe environment.

The upper unit of the Adidas Questar TND utilizes a breathable mesh material. It allows air into the foot-chamber, potentially maintaining a cool and dry environment for the runner’s foot. Moreover, it has a 3D color-shifting effect which sanctions light refraction, as well as angular vision, to subtly alter the hue of the façade.

The Adidas stripes are incorporated into the midfoot section as overlays. They’re directly printed onto the mesh, giving a seamless and non-bulky look. They help in ensuring a snug and secure foot-wrap.

A molded heel counter is added to the external section of the upper. Its goal is to hold the back of the foot and prevent it from wobbling or exiting the shoe unintentionally.

The lightly padded collar and tongue support the ankles and the instep. They also prevent the foot from quivering or displacing during the running session.

A handy pull-tab makes it easier to wear and remove the Adidas Questar TND.
