Saucony Jazz Low Pro Vegan History

The Jazz was introduced in 1981 and was designed by podiatrist Frank Santoprieto. They aimed at creating sneakers that are lightweight and with optimal balance and comfort that was particularly designed for running. The Jazz has lace with padded collar, tongue, and footbed, with nylon or suede upper, removable insole, EVA midsole and durable rubber outsole.

They also incorporated advancement in technology, such as  Maxitrac triangular lug outsole, “Butterfly Balance” design and inserted a Saucony sock. It’s a low-top profile that was named the best quality runner’s sneakers in the 80s. The Jazz design remained unchanged until today and considered the brand’s best-selling sneaker of all time.

Today, Saucony is now offering a variety of shades and key drop variations to cater everybody’s need. In 2002, the Saucony presented the Jazz Low Pro which is a sleeker variety of the classic Jazz silhouette. It has closer to the ground design, but still carries the fresh throwback style of its initiator.  And soon after, they came up with the Vegan version to cater to the Vegan enthusiasts.
