    High Top

Sneakers with collars that go above the ankles for optimal hold and support are some of the most sought-after models in lifestyle shoes. Most of these shoes take their roots from basketball and have easily or fashionably crossed to mainstream wear.

    Good to know

Regardless of cut, it's always good to start with sneakers that can be worn for the daily grind, also called as "beaters" by some, as these are usually cheaper, easy to clean, and still gives that lifestyle "edge" before going for those wallet-thinning models.

A masterful team-up between two or more entities, usually between brands and artists, pro-athletes, designers, and boutique labels. Limited Releases are very popular and are normally sold out in just hours or minutes upon release despite the hefty price tag. Reebok Club C 85 MCC History

The Reebok Club C is a Reebok classic model that maintains its place in the sneaker market up to this day. First released in 1985, it was a rebrand of the tennis shoe Reebok Revenge Plus in which the “C” in the name stands for “Champion.” The shoe's design is made to align with the dress code of tennis courts – minimal and mostly white. The upper is of leather lined with terry towel material, while the sole is of rubber material.

Despite its popularity in the tennis community and the fashion scene, the Reebok Club C shoes eventually had to be pulled off the market for some time. But like other Reebok Classic models, it was able to make a successful comeback and morphed into a street style staple.

In November 2017, Reebok teamed up with spray paint purveyor Montana Cans for a collaborative take on its Classic Leather shoes in black and white color options. Their first collaboration was well-received in the sneaker community that the second wave of creative partnership took place on March 2, 2018 – that time involving the Club C silhouette. The collaboration continued, and several other colorways inspired by Montana Cans' paints were released. In particular, on April 2018, the Club C silhouette received three new colors based on MC’s acrylic lacquer hues such as biscuit beige “Make Up,” mossy green “Manilla Light,” and off-white “Pebble.”

The Reebok Club C 85 MCC features a tonal suede upper that sits atop a clean white EVA midsole, a high abrasion rubber outsole, a leather heel tab accent, a unique woven label on the tongue, and signature perforation detailing on the toe box.

Aside from the Classic Leather and Club C 85 models, the Workout Plus model is also a part of the Reebok Classic x Montana Cans collection that stays true to the brand’s “Always Classic” origins.

Reebok Club C 85 MCC Style

When one of the world’s best manufacturers of spray paints, Montana Cans, collaborated with Reebok, the Reebok Club C 85 is one of the few classic silhouettes that made it into the collection. The Reebok Club C 85 MCC retains the classic and timeless shape of its base model, the Club C 85, while a modern touch is incorporated using several colors inspired by Montana Cans paints. The suede upper, in particular, gives out a premium feel to the athletic façade of the shoe's overall profile. Adding to this is the leather heel tab at the back.

Fit & Sizing

The Reebok Club C 85 MCC is available in unisex sizing that ranges from size 5 to 14 in D Standard or Medium width. For women's sizing conversion, an approximate 1.5 size smaller in men’s sizing than their usual in women’s sizing can be used for an accurate fit. For example, ladies with a size 7 can opt for a size 5.5 for this particular Reebok shoe.

This collaboration shoe between Reebok and Montana Cans follows the overall profile of the original tennis-inspired Club C 85 silhouette. The low-cut profile permits flexible ankle movement without sacrificing support and comfort, while the lace-up closure can be adjustable for a customized and snug fit.

Notable Features

The Reebok Club C 85 MCC exhibits characteristics similar to that of the original Club C classic silhouette from the general profile down to the technologies used and construction. However, this Club C 85 collaboration with spray paint company Montana Cans has a different upper material – it utilizes a tonal suede instead of classic leather. What makes it stand out, even more, is the range of unique colorways that are all inspired by Montana's paint colors. Each shoe also features a leather heel tab that adds a bit of sophistication to the shoe’s aesthetics.
