This hiking gear is shaped using the brand-owned ZBPK Performing Fit last and Foot Wrapping System (FWS). The former has a low instep and tight heel area for a comfortable and snug fit. The latter is molded on to the boot’s upper to optimize fit.
This Zamberlan footgear sports a Vibram Nortrack outsole. The grooves on the side promote flexibility while the large and multidirectional lugs render 360-degree traction. The upper of the 1023 Latemar NW is equipped with a hard-wearing one-piece waxed Tuscan leather (2.6 mm - 2.8 mm). Underneath is a supple calf leather (Pelle Di Vitello in Italian) which lines the toe to the ankle area. Both materials are pretreated with Hydrobloc to enhance its water-repellency and prolong its life.
The vent holes at the top of the padded tongue and collar amplify air circulation and comfort. Its closure system includes combination eyelets and a synthetic lace which permit fit management.
