Bottom line

The Curry 3ZER0 is marketed as a team shoe, similar to LeBron’s Soldier line. Under Armour trimmed down the Curry 3 and the result is a surprisingly solid on-court performer. Its cushioning has been modified to provide a better balance between protection and responsiveness while its adjustable collar delivers better lockdown and support.

Based purely on performance, the Under Armour Curry 3ZER0 beats the Curry 3. It provides a better all-around experience that different types of players enjoy.

Good to know

Just in time for the 2017 post-season, Under Armour launched the Curry 3ZER0 line that focuses on delivering success during the NBA’s most crucial stages. It features a Micro G midsole with Charged Cushioning at the heel, Meta-wing TPU shanks, and a 3-D printed collar to provide you with increased stability and flexibility, making it among the most effective basketball shoes that help you channel your inner Stephen Curry on the court.

Cushion. The Curry 3ZERO’s midsole combines a Micro G foam carrier with an updated Charged Cushioning crash pad at the heel. The midsole promotes energy return, delivering a more stable, flexible, and comfortable ride.

Traction. On the outsole, a detailed herringbone pattern can be seen. This signature pattern delivers optimal grip and total control on the floor, allowing you to make quick cuts and explosive first steps.

Length and Width. The Under Armour Curry 3ZERO's length and width are true to size. However, as with the Curry 3, several users are not happy with how it fits. Buyers are advised to order their actual size if they can’t try the shoes in-store.

Lockdown. An interlocking upper increases lockdown abilities and keeps the ankle supported while a molded collar with a built-in Achilles pillow ensures comfort.

The top eyelets are offset so that they engage the adjustable heel when the shoes are laced up,  cranking it down and locking it in place.

Instead of carbon fiber, the Under Armour Curry 3ZERO has Meta-wing shanks made of TPU that provides stability throughout the forefoot, arch, and heel.

A dual-mesh textile upper replaces the Anafoam and Threadborne used on the Curry 3. This textile upper delivers a breathable and supportive fit while an open-holed mesh tongue enhances ventilation.

To protect against wear, abrasion-resistant TPU can be found along the toe cap.

Though less detailed than the Curry 3, the Under Armour 3ZERO still contains several constants and hallmarks that drive Stephen on the court.

Inspired by Curry’s wrist tattoo, the TCC abbreviation along with its full meaning “Trust. Commitment. Care.” is found on the outsole.

Curry’s favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, is a constant source of inspiration that drives him every day. To motivate and inspire people, a braille code standing for 4:13 is found on the tongue.

Under Armour Curry 3ZER0 ‘Seasoned Life’ PE

Inspired by Ayesh Curry’s cookbook entitled Seasoned Life, this player exclusive colorway features a mix of gray and orange on the upper finished off with a green translucent outsole. A drawing of Ayesha wearing a chef’s hat is also found on the insole.

As a treat, Stephen’s game-worn PEs were given to one lucky buyer of Ayesha’s cookbook.
