Skechers Monster History

Founded by Robert Greenberg in the early ‘90s, Skechers originally intended to distribute Dr. Martens products. However, Greenberg started focusing on designing and manufacturing his own apparel. Granted that Skechers launched later than other brands in the industry, it would have a hard time finding a market niche. The products became a hit for younger people which lead them to decided to focus on younger demographics.

One of the most popular trends in the ’90s were worn-out jeans. The brand took the opportunity of the craze and created a footwear version of it called the “Chrome Dome.” The release changed the game for Skechers as the model became an instant hit. It became one of the most successful apparel companies and started selling globally.

They have been releasing creative and excellent shoes for years, including the Skechers Monster which has been getting a lot of great feedback from the customers.
