Expert reviews:

Good to know

  • The Skechers GOrun 3 may look somewhat similar to the first version, but there are some significant differences made in it. The upper is updated with a totally new overlays and stiffness. Skechers also used Power-prene mesh for the upper for breathability, but it comes with no liner inside, which means there is a need to wear socks.
  • The GOrun 3 is also made sloppier and wider in the heel area while a bit narrower in the forefoot part. The last in the sole is also designed with more curvature, which hugs the heel comfortably but makes the forefoot and toes feel crowded inside.
  • Skechers also adds a thick insole, which adds 4mm to the heel height of the shoe. It also adds weight and comfort to the sole. For its flexibility, this shoe is a bit stiffer but there remains some of the flexibility and softness.

The Skechers GOrun 3 is true to size with a fit that is a bit large and sloppier in the heel area while a little narrower in the forefoot area. This shoe is available in standard running shoe widths for both men’s and women’s version.

The outsole of the GOrun 3 is designed with the flex points of little dots of rubber underfoot. The resalyte midsole material makes the outsole as well, but enhanced with the GOImpulse Sensor. These rubber dots are meant for strategic maximization of durability and protection against high-wearability. The outsole unit of this shoe is as durable and reliable as the Skechers GOrun 6.

The midsole is designed and constructed using the Skecher’s very own Resalyte cushioning, which is a mixture of foam and rubber for a super cushy and resilient hybrid rubber. It is also combined with the M Strike rocker that allows the shoe to rock.

The upper of the Skechers GOrun 3 comes with the power-prene mesh enhanced with overlays for better breathability. For its interior, this shoe has an integrated sock liner. The soft and supple materials made up the interiors, thus it feels comfortable for runners. The heel counter is soft, and the added material for the logo is stitched on the heel part purposefully to hold the heel safe to its position properly when running.

The tongue, though, is a bit thin, but soft and plushy on the foot. The thick insole, on the other hand, provides additional 4mm height to the heel.
