Inov-8 Roclite 325 updates

Grippy shoe on technical terrains

The Inov-8 Roclite 325’s outsole is very versatile. It features the Tri-C rubber compound which is made up of three different rubbers: the softer sticky rubber, the endurance rubber, and the hard, sticky rubber.

All of these three materials work together to make the shoe more robust and durable. They also provide the shoe with a good amount of grip, so a runner doesn’t have to worry about slipping, even on technical terrains.

Roclite 325 features natural flexing forefoot

Featured on all Inov-8 shoes is the MetaFlex line. This deep, linear indention makes way for the natural flexing of the forefoot, allowing this part of the underfoot to function more naturally. It delivers comfort and ease, without making the runner feel restricted when moving.

Another feature the outsole has is the 6-millimeter lugs that are shaped like claws and have wider contact surfaces. This design helps each lug to easily burrow through the soil and produce a tight grip on the terrain.

The spaces between the lugs prevent tiny debris from getting stuck on the shoe’s underfoot.

Inov-8’s Meta-Shank provides superb support

The midsole has two main features. The first one is the second-generation Meta-Shank by Inov-8. Shanks are supportive structures that diminish the load on a runner’s foot and calf during an ascent. The Meta-Shank does this purpose without being too rigid.

Because of its three-finger design and polymer construction, it provides a bit of flexibility while still retaining the protection from impact and sharp objects on the trail.

10% better shock absorption

The second main feature is the PowerFlow which is a two-piece material that delivers 10% better shock absorption because of its special formulation. It also gives approximately 15% more energy return compared to standard foam materials. The result is a ride which is protected yet energetic.

Inside, a removable footbed was added to provide that extra layer of comfort. This insole also serves as an extra piece to protect the bottom of the foot from jagged or sharp objects that runners commonly step one when outdoors.

Delivers adequate ventilation at all times

Mesh makes up the main upper unit. It’s lightweight, so it doesn’t add weight to the shoe. It also permits air to easily go in and out, delivering adequate ventilation at all times during the run.

To add more structure and support to the upper, the AdapterWeb Met-Cradle was added to the midfoot. Connected to the lacing system, it gives the right amount of snugness as it adapts to the movement and swelling of the foot. Because it is concentrated more on the middle part of the upper foot, it steadies the foot and prevents any wobbling.

Inov-8 Roclite 325 protects the runner from injury

Another structure that heightens support is the X-Lock heel system which is distinguishable because of its X-formation. This feature doesn’t just help with support, but it also locks the heel in place, minimally immobilizing it, so it doesn’t move around during runs.

On the tip of the shoe is a rubber toe cap which protects the runner from injury from bumping into objects on the trail. This structure also gives the upper a bit of durability.
