Under Armour basketball shoes

Under Armour solidified its place in the basketball shoe world when it snatched NBA star Stephen Curry from Nike in 2013. The Golden State Warriors point guard had helped his team win three NBA championships since then, catapulting himself and the company that he represents to basketball notoriety.

Because of their clear on-court rivalry, Stephen Curry's signature kicks are often pitched against Nike signature releases for LeBron James. Both lines are a series of high-tops. Both Nike and Under Armour also release a low-top version of each model.

Under Armour: Basketball shoes and more

Besides Stephen Curry, another high-power NBA player in Under Armour's roster is Joel Embiid. He is set to release his first-ever signature shoe in 2020, making the 17th player have a signature shoe.

Aside from basketball shoes, Under Armour is also known for other types of footwear and other sports apparel. In fact, many of the technologies used on non-signature Under Armour basketball shoes are from the brand's running arsenal. As an example, the Under Armour HOVR Havoc series makes use of the HOVR foam, which is a technology first tested on running shoes.
