Bottom line

Designers from Asolo may have put a stronger emphasis on style in their creation of the Liquid GV. Fortunately, its true-to-size fit also comes into the picture. On the downside, the footwear has been reported to have quite a tight toe box. All in all, the Asolo Liquid GV is positioned to impress new and long-time hikers alike with its combination of quality traits and fine features. The thing that this gear might find difficult to accomplish, however, is convincing people with wide feet to give it a shot.

  • A boot designed for hiking and summer walking is the Asolo Liquid GV. Suede leather and polyester form its over-the-ankle upper. It is built for the changing weather all thanks to the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort technology.
  • Asolo collaborated with Vibram to engineer the Liquid GV’s Redster sole unit. It consists of a dual-density midsole, self-cleaning rubber outsole, and TPU (thermo-plastic polyurethane) toe cap.

The Asolo Liquid GV is a mid-cut boot for male and female day hikers. This gear offers a fairly true-to-size fit. It comes in whole and half sizes in standard width. Its lacing system enables wearers to achieve a secure and personalized lockdown.

Based on the Megagrip compound, the Vibram Redster outsole offers a kind of terrain grip that works whether the surface is dry, wet, or muddy. It is engineered with self-cleaning lugs which shed debris and sticky dirt during transitions. It also has a forefoot tip that encroaches the upper, giving the boot extra toe protection.

The Asolo Liquid GV steadies the wearer’s footing and mitigates shock thanks to its cushy dual-density midsole. It is made of EVA or ethylene-vinyl acetate—a special kind of foam characterized by a balanced blend of softness and resilience. Its heel subcomponent is also made of EVA, though it has a lower density compared with the main platform for more cushioning and shock absorption.

Giving extra comfort and support underfoot is the boot’s anatomic footbed, called Lite 2 Plus. This insole, securely resting atop the Asoflex 00 SR Fast lasting board, adjusts to the foot’s contour over time.

Serving as the Liquid GV’s primary defense against the elements is its part water-resistant suede leather, part polyester upper. Its Gore-Tex Extended Comfort liner prevents water intrusion while keeping the boot’s interior ventilated for longer. At the forefoot is a TPU toe cap, responsible for averting the likelihood of sustaining toe injuries.

Offering a secure and precise fit is the weatherproof boot’s classic lacing system. Asolo engineers gave it a set of open hooks around the collar region for fast and convenient lace-ups.
