Simply timeless

The Adidas Forum in a low-top form replicates the original silhouette of its ancestor that exhibits a stylish outlook. Even Kendall Jenner, billed by Forbes magazine as one of the highest-paid models, has been seen sporting the Adidas Forum Lows on the streets.

Adidas Forum Low timeless

It suits many streetwear clothes

We confirmed that it goes well with plenty of sporty to laidback clothes. Its unique retro design matches jeans, skinny pants, and mini denim dresses.

Packed with comfort

We appreciate its stitched cup midsole that offers cushioning and the needed shock absorption when walking and standing for long hours.

Secure fit

The shoe offered us a secure fit, which we attribute to the collar and tongue being sufficiently padded and supported by the hook and loop velcro strap and lace-up fastening. We also noticed that the pre-moulded heel counter aids the compact rubber stabilo heel support system.

No scrimping of materials here

Its overall excellent build overjoys us. Everything’s assembled using high-quality materials. It retained the best elements of the original template, such as the patented crisscross ankle system joined together by a velcro strap.

A real steal

We realised that it falls within the market’s budget-friendly pickups, making it a welcome alternative to its preppy cousins, the Adidas Superstars.

Nostalgic for baby boomers and Gen X's

Resurrecting from the basketball era of the 80s, we highly recommend the Adidas Forum Low due to its vintage appeal. The Dellinger Web System that can be seen in the medial part of the sole is one of the resurfacing features of the original shoe.

Air holes at the forefoot

This basketball-inspired sneaker maintained its original perforations on the toe box, which we affirmed to promote breathability.

It lets you pivot and twist minus the slips

We found that the durable rubber is cemented on the outsole with a multidisc profile, providing grip and traction.

Spacious toe benefits wide-footed users

We were unsatisfied with the toe box and lining of the Forum Low, as we found that it runs larger than our usual sizing.

history

The Adidas Forum is a beacon of innovation as it's one of the restructured basketball shoes made into three collar heights. The high-cut, mid-cut, and low-cut were first observed with the Forum when it was first released in 1984.

Even the famous Michael Jordan wore these during the Olympic trials in the same year. The quintessential shoe was built with premium materials like a full-grain leather upper and a durable stitched cupsole, which at the time was one of the most coveted basketball paraphernalia used by pros.

Along with the different ankle tops, the vintage sneaker was also released in numerous colorways ranging from white to black, not to mention neon colours. The pronounced crisscross ankle system using a velcro strap, patented by Adidas, was retained even in low-top form.

The Adidas Forum became prevalent in the 80s and was re-released to the public during the 90s. Since then, several renditions of the silhouette have been created, exhibiting different styles but maintaining the Three Stripes logo on the side panels and the ankle strap.

For almost three decades, the iconic footwear appeared on the feet of fans and sneakerheads, including celebrities. The newer versions of the shoe still preserved its microcellular midsole, wrapped by a Dellinger Web System exposed in the mid-shank.

The use of a cupsole, patented criss-cross ankle strap, and the brand's emblems are still present in the comeback silhouette. Like full-grain leather, some materials were replaced by nubuck with patented overlays. Although the Adidas Forum Low has the same elements as the OG, the latest version has more colorway options.
