Who should buy the La Sportiva Genesis Low GTX
As part of La Sportiva’s mountain hiking footwear, the Genesis Low GTX allows hikers with light packs to move swiftly on their outdoor adventures. This pair of hiking footgear is perfect for those who are:
- looking for a shoe that renders stability while keeping a light build
- looking for a sticky outsole that maximizes braking effect and shock absorption
- looking for a supportive shoe that offers ground sensitivity
Vibram Nano outsole powers the Genesis Low GTX
The Vibram Nano outsole makes the Genesis Low GTX grip on ground surfaces. It is equipped with Impact Brake System, a proprietary feature from La Sportiva. It increases the braking power of the sole and absorbs negative ground impact.
The opposing, slanted direction of the lugs allow optimum ground adhesion, especially on descents.
Genesis Low GTX boasts a hardwearing midsole
The La Sportiva Genesis Low GTX midsole is made of compression-molded EVA. It absorbs and reduces shocks received by the foot for a more comfortable ride. Its TPU inserts add stability underfoot which also promotes proper gait.
La Sportiva’s STB Control System
The STB Control System links the midsole to the shoe’s upper in the medial area. This feature makes the shoe and the foot move in unison which increases torsion (twisting) resistance for a more stable stride.
Genesis Low GTX combines nano-cell technology and Gore-Tex for a sturdy upper
The upper of this low-cut hiking shoe uses a durable nubuck leather. It features the Nano-Cell technology, which works with the waterproof Gore-Tex Surround laminate in optimizing breathability. These characteristics enable the upper to eliminate humidity inside while water is prevented from seeping in.
Protecting the foot from accidental knocks are the PU leather heel and toe cap. Its lacing components includes combination eyelets which contribute to foot lockdown. Also, its padded tongue and collar creates additional comfort.
