This update of the Power Cushion Eclipsion line is centered on fit. It features a sock-like sleeve that helps in delivering a snug fit. Aside from this addition, the Power Cushion Eclipsion Z uses the same upper exterior as its predecessor, which also contributes to the secure foothold. The name of the trainer is taken from its use of the brand’s proprietary midsole technology while the outsole is made of rubber that can grip smooth court floors.
Grip. A layer of non-marking rubber lines the underside of the Power Cushion Eclipsion Z. This Yonex badminton trainer has a Hexagrip tread pattern that allows the compound to expand in multiple directions to make sure it doesn’t easily slip.
Agility. Quick transitions are also possible because of the Round Sole construction. The edges of the outsole have been sloped, so it’s easier to roll your foot inwards and push off the floor using the inner side.
Rebound. The Power Cushion+ is made from the original Yonex midsole technology but has been enhanced using a special elastic resin. The addition of the resin resulted in a cushioning unit that is 28% more effective at absorbing shock. Its ability to repel the force of impact has been increased by 62%. Athletes will notice a bouncier experience, decreasing foot and leg fatigue during intense, long games.
Stability. The outer side of the midsole is strengthened by the ToughBrid Light component. This lightweight yet rigid part prevents the foot from rolling outwards, which could result in injuries.
Embedded in the middle of the midsole is the Power Graphite Sheet. It aims to stabilize the arch by preventing twisting motions in this area.
Inside the Power Cushion Eclipsion Z is the Yonex Synchro-Fit Insole. This removable insert enhances the overall fit of the footwear. Aside from providing comfort, the slight elevation of the heel positions to foot in a way that is always ready to take the next step.
Foothold. The exterior of the upper is made from Durable Skin. It is made from polyurethane (PU) but has been engineered to be flexible like rubber but has some rigidity like plastic. It forms a covering that can withstand abrasion and can securely hold the foot.
Comfort. The Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion Z also employs a mesh fabric for its top. This material is soft and breathable. It helps with temperature regulation inside the trainer.
Fit. This Yonex badminton shoe features an inner cleatie. It has a ribbed collar that delivers a sock-like feel. Users have the option to tighten the fit using the lacing system. Another factor that contributes to the comfortable fit is the Toe Assist Shape. The upper is constructed to reduce pressure on the big toe while snuggly wrapping the midfoot and the heel.
