Good to know

This Yonex badminton shoe is built with stability in mind. The upper employs a cage-like element that helps in foot containment and lateral support. The midsole decreases the shock felt by the foot. It also has a rigid part that prevents it from rolling outwards, which may cause the player to lose balance. As for the outsole, the non-marking rubber compound provides reliable traction on smooth, indoor courts.

If you require a more secure foothold, check out the Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion Z. It has a sock-like sleeve that helps with the lockdown of the foot.

Traction. A rubber material lines the bottom of the Power Cushion Eclipsion. This compound is non-marking and provides grip on smooth floors. Its traction is amplified by the Hexagrip tread pattern that expands in all directions to support quick movements.

Agility. This badminton trainer also features the Round Sole construction. The outsole wraps up, eliminating the edges, which allows smoother transitions. Players can use the medial side of their foot to push off and move quickly.

Shock absorption. The Power Cushion Eclipsion X is equipped with the Power Cushion+. This cushioning unit has been tweaked by adding a special elastic resin. It resulted in a compound that is 28% better at shock absorption and is 62% more effective in repelling shock. Wearers can expect a bouncy experience while wearing this footgear. This characteristic also readies the foot for the next step.

Stability. Because a bouncy cushioning might cause instability, the lateral side of the midsole is reinforced with the ToughBrid Light element. This rigid component makes sure that the foot is prevented from excessively rolling outwards during side-to-side movements.

The arch area of this badminton shoe is strengthened by the Power Graphite Sheet. It is a lightweight plate placed in the middle of the midsole that prevents twisting of the midsole.

This model also uses the Yonex Synchro-Fit Insole. It is a removable insert that improves the fit of the shoe. It also positions the foot at an angle that is always ready for action.

Foothold. The top section is made of Durable Skin and mesh. The Durable Skin is a rubber-like overlay that protects the mesh on the vamp and quarters against abrasion. This component also keeps the foot securely in place during side-to-side movements.

Comfort. The mesh fabric, on the other hand, promotes air circulation. It keeps the inside of the shoe fresh during long periods of play.

Fit. The lacing system helps wearers customize the fit at the midfoot. The snugness at the heel is brought by the lightly padded tongue and collar. The trainer features the Toe Assist Shape. The upper is designed to relieve pressure on the big toe. It also ensures that there is ample support on the midfoot and the heel to help with stability.
