  • The Vivobarefoot Wing was designed as a minimalist workout shoe. It allows users to feel barefooted without worrying about stepping on sharp objects on the ground. The trainer features the PRO5 outsole which is a proprietary technology that has five times more puncture resistance compared to other minimalist sole units of the same thickness. It comes with a 3-mm insole that adds another layer of protection and cushioning.
  • This model uses the V-Web upper. It is the result of heat-fusing multiple layers of mesh to deliver a material that is durable, supportive and stitch-free. Its slip-on construction makes for an easy wearing and removal of the shoe. Though it features a lacing system, it works more for adjusting the tightness on the midfoot rather than loosening the fit or opening the throat.
  • According to the manufacturer, this trainer is vegan-friendly. It implies that the making of this footgear involved no animal products or byproducts in the process.

The Vivobarefoot Wing is engineered to meet the unique needs of women when it comes to barefoot training. It comes in a B - Medium width profile and runs true to size. According to the brand, it is recommended to get the same size as a user’s existing shoe. If the shoe size is in-between, Vivobarefoot suggests going up a size. Their barefoot trainers are designed to fit big and should have a thumb width of space that separates the shoe from the toes.

The Vivobarefoot Wing utilizes the PRO5 outsole. The brand offers different types of soles depending on a person’s need or activity level. This model uses the Exercise variant which is 3 mm thick. It is made of the V-Sense thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compound to deliver durability and flexibility. The hexagonal tread pattern provides slip resistance, allowing the foot to grip flat surfaces.

The Vivobarefoot Wing is a minimalist shoe that employs a 3-mm recycled foam footbed. It adds a layer of cushion to the footwear without putting on too much weight. Unlike other training shoes, this product does not have a thick and springy midsole that attenuates shock.

The upper of the Vivobarefoot Wing is made of the V-Web. It is created by heat-fusing multiple layers of mesh to create a material that is supportive, breathable, lightweight, and pliable.

Wrapping around the heel is a synthetic overlay that integrates with the last eyelet. When the laces are tightened, the overlay around the heel becomes taut and serves as a heel counter which keeps the back of the foot anchored and steady.

The lacing system on this model does not allow the mouth to open wider. Instead, it allows wearers to tune in the fit for better support and comfort.
