Good to know
Stability and motion control add-ons are uncommon for workout shoes and are never present in CrossFit or weightlifting footwear. They are mostly found in walking shoes where the gait is easier to correct.
Training footwear typically weighs between 200g and 300g per shoe to accommodate agile workouts. Minimalist trainers go as low as 150g, while weightlifting shoes can go as high as 500g.

Updates to Vionic Revive
- The Vionic Revive is a walking trainer engineered to assist the foot in moving freely and promptly without constraints during casual and fitness walks. Its upper presents a fairly perforated soft suede or leather, depending on the variation, to protect the foot from harsh outside elements. It also allows air to circulate throughout the foot chamber for a fresh cooling effect.
- The outsole and the insole are engineered into one unit. They are constructed with the proprietary EVA compound. It offers responsiveness and cushioning for shock absorption and comfort.
Vionic Revive size and fit
The Vionic Revive accommodates the men’s foot dimensions and biomechanics. The sizes at hand range from US 7 to 13 with half sizes in between extending from 8.5 to 11.5. The model comes in only one width option, which is the D – Medium profile. Due to the reports about the shoe running small in length, it is recommended to go one size larger than the usual.
The Vionic Revive has a bottom that is lined with rubber and patterned with flex grooves. It provides traction on many types of surfaces. It also allows the forefoot to move unencumbered. It is co-molded with the footbed for a seamless and supportive platform.
Similar to the outsole, the footbed of the shoe is created with the proprietary EVA compound. It provides the foot with firm cushioning to ensure comfort, support, and shock absorption. It is molded to the outsole to create a single platform.
The Vionic Revive features a suede or leather upper for protection and support. Its perforations render ventilation throughout the foot chamber, giving the user a cool and fresh feel on the foot.
It sports a lace-up closure for a secure foot lockdown. It enables adjustments to the fit based on the wearer’s preference. It also boosts lateral support through the tightening of the shoelaces.
The tongue and collar are lightly cushioned. They safeguard the foot from abrasions and irritations. They also introduce a snugger fit to prevent accidental shoe removal.
