    Good to know

    Stability and motion control add-ons are uncommon for workout shoes and are never present in CrossFit or weightlifting footwear. They are mostly found in walking shoes where the gait is easier to correct.

  • The Vionic Alaina sports a bootie construction for a quick on-and-off action. Bungee laces and elastic straps help keep the fit tight.
  • Shock attenuation is provided by the full-length cushioning unit and removable insert. As for the outsole, it is made or rubber pods that provide traction and prevent early deterioration of the midsole.

Constructed with women’s feet in mind, the Vionic Alaina comes in US sizes 5 to 11, including half and full sizes in between. The trainer is available in B - Medium and D - Wide width profiles, suitable for ladies in search of wide walking shoes. The elastic straps on the midfoot and around the heel provide a locked down fit.

Rubber pods protect hard-wearing areas of the underside. This segmented compound is engineered to be durable and promotes multi-directional flexibility and surface grip.

A full-length cushioning unit renders shock absorption to the Vionic Alaina. A lightly cushioned footbed lines the inside of the trainer for maximum comfort and support. The insole is removable, allowing users to put in their custom orthotics if needed.

Though Vionic shoes are known for their great arch support, if you need more, the Brooks Addiction Walker is a pair to consider. It features a leather upper with a generous sole unit that employs the Extended Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB) that delivers motion control to the foot.

The Vionic Alaina employs a lightweight textile for the upper with a neoprene collar for a snug ankle fit. Polyurethane (PU) overlays protect high-friction areas like the toe box.

This slip-on footwear has fabric tabs on the tongue and the back of the collar to help wearers quickly pull it on. The trainer has a bungee lacing system at the midfoot which may be utilized to tighten the fit. Elastic straps are found on the midfoot and around the heel which securely locks the foot in place.
