Veja Venturi: Environmental responsibility on your feet
Since it was founded in 2004, Veja has been unstoppable in releasing countless products that focus on transparency, fair trade, and sustainability. Manufactured in southern Brazil, Veja has introduced heaps of popular iterations, such as the Veja Campo and Veja Esplar.
Adding another remarkable iteration to their collection is the Veja Venturi. This low-top sneaker features an easy-to-wear design that will always make you ready for city adventures. It can come in various types of uppers namely: Suede, Alveomesh, Ripstop, Hexamesh, and B-Mesh.
Since Veja takes sustainability seriously, the brand utilizes several environmentally safe materials:
- Versions engineered with breathable Alveomesh, B-Mesh, Ripstop, or Hexamesh uppers are made of recycled plastic bottles.
- Found inside is a lining made of either 100% recycled polyester or 100% recycled plastic bottles for added comfort.
- The shock-absorbing removable insole is composed of either a mixture of recycled plastic bottles, wild rubber, and jute or sugarcane and recycled plastic bottles.
- Found underneath is the grippy lugged patterned rubber outsole that is made from the Amazonian forest or a combination of Amazonian rubber and rice waste.
