Updates to Vasque Talus UltraDry

  • Vasque introduces another day hiking boot that offers lightweight and durable performance through the Talus UltraDry. Its upper uses the combination of nubuck leather and mesh that is made waterproof through Vasque’s proprietary UltraDry technology.
  • Cushioning and stability come from its molded polyurethane midsole. The underfoot structure also includes a dual-density EVA footbed that cradles the foot and offers long-lasting comfort. Its Vibram-powered outsole gives traction on almost all surfaces.

Vasque Talus UltraDry size and fit

The Vasque Talus UltraDry has an over-the-ankle height that provides support to the ankles. It’s made for both men and women in regular sizes. Width profiles can be purchased in medium or wide. It’s built on a gender-specific Perpetuum last that accommodates people with flat arches. Its structure also has a broader toe box for users who require extra forefoot room. This boot’s fit is customized through traditional lace-up closure. This model is considered true to size.

Outsole

Vibram Nuasi with XSTrek Compound  has a balance of traction and durability. Its slip-resistant composition is made for unpredictable trail conditions, especially on wet surfaces. Both the treads and lug pattern create terrain adaptability and adhesion. This outsole is non-marking so it won’t leave scuffs indoors.

Midsole

The Vasque Talus UltraDry midsole is made of lightweight, low-profile polyurethane foam that offers lateral stability and protection from impact. A dual-density EVA insole enhances underfoot cushioning and comfort. Its overall structure is supported by a thermoplastic urethane shank that renders torsional rigidity, granting ample stiffness to the boot.

Upper

The upper consist of 1.8-millimeter thick nubuck leather and abrasion resistant mesh panels. This material combination makes the Talus UltraDry durable and breathable. From its name, this version uses the UltraDry waterproofing technology that acts as a barrier against wet elements.

The classic lace-up closure consists of laces and combination eyelets. Its heel pull loop allows easy foot entry. The collar and tongue are also padded to give additional comfort to the ankles.
