Mid-top sneakers extend toward the ankle for a little more support and hold. These lie somewhere in the middle between low-top and high-top sneakers in terms of usage and popularity.

    High Top

Sneakers with collars that go above the ankles for optimal hold and support are some of the most sought-after models in lifestyle shoes. Most of these shoes take their roots from basketball and have easily or fashionably crossed to mainstream wear.

    Good to know

Regardless of cut, it's always good to start with sneakers that can be worn for the daily grind, also called as "beaters" by some, as these are usually cheaper, easy to clean, and still gives that lifestyle "edge" before going for those wallet-thinning models.

  • Inspired from

    Sports

Sneakers dominantly take their heritage from running, basketball, skate, tennis, training, hiking, and football. Still retaining a few of their performance-based technologies, these sneakers have transcended their respective niches and have successfully and popularly transformed themselves as staples of fashion footwear.

    Casual

Sneakers designed for a laidback, "cool" vibe that is built for lifestyle wear right from the get-go.

    Good to know

Brands are now blending elements of performance and casual appeal in basically every sneaker. One can hardly go wrong with a sports-inspired sneaker or a simple casual shoe.

    Good to know

A masterful team-up between two or more entities, usually between brands and artists, pro-athletes, designers, and boutique labels. Limited Releases are very popular and are normally sold out in just hours or minutes upon release despite the hefty price tag. Collaborative works for General Release regularly come with a decent price tag, but can sometimes cost an arm and a leg because of hype, social media anticipation, or marketing strategy. The Vans X Harry Potter Authentic is a unisex design, available in men’s sizes ranging from 3.5 to 13, which is equivalent to women’s sizes ranging from 5 to 14.5.

Moreover, this low-top, laced-up Vans sneaker lets the ankles have full mobility while locking in the feet securely with a custom fitting.

The Authentic had looked good no matter what was done to it—even when it entered the Hogwarts Universe and got dressed in a Ravenclaw uniform. It looks just as good, if not better. This time, Potterheads, especially those who are students under the Ravenclaw House, can enjoy this exciting sneaker and prove their loyalty to Hogwarts. Bearing the timeless Authentic silhouette, this collaborative sneaker fits about any type of clothing or style for both sexes.

The Authentic's silhouette virtually remains unchanged even though it has been subjected to multiple iterations and collaborations. It won't even be a stretch to say that the Authentic has had taken almost all colors in the spectrum and imaginable experiments in material.

The silhouette proves to be inexhaustible, and now it’s surprisingly decked in Harry Potter Wizardry themes—in Ravenclaw colors. This iteration is another testament to the Authentic’s boundless potential.

Founded in 1966, Vans began their business with their #44 model, now known as the Authentic. It was Vans’s first skate shoe, and it set the tone for their success. Throughout the 1970s, these Authentics became a skateboarding staple across southern California. Thousands of skaters flocked around the Authentic for its tough and weathered look and for its thick, grippy “Waffle Sole” that stick the wooden decks like syrup. Before everyone knew it, the Authentic had become an enduring silhouette, with a lot of history behind it.

In 2019, Vans collaborated with Warner Bros. Studios to launch the Vans x Harry Potter Collection. Recently, they unveiled several classic Vans silhouettes, each representing the four houses from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Harry Potter themes. The Authentic took on the House of Ravenclaw, proudly sporting its colors and insignia.
