The Style 38 or currently known as SK8-Hi, was originally launched in 1978. It provides better ankle protection and support compared to the Old Skool, which was released in 1977.

Since its release, it has been reinterpreted and redesigned countless times using different materials and applying new concepts. Yet, no matter how far the imagination goes with respect to the design, it still manages to maintain its classic elements. It has become a timeless silhouette.

One of its many variations is the Vans SK8-Hi Gore-Tex, which its latest release was in March of 2020. Showcasing a great innovation, it has an upper with a Gore-Tex membrane for foot protection against harsh outside elements. With a vulcanized construction, it has a gum outsole that delivers stability and excellent traction.
