The Vans Satin Patchwork Authentic is a unisex shoe that’s offered in both men and women’s sizes. The guys’ sizes range from 3.5 to 10 while the ladies’ extend from size 5 to 11.5. Generally, this sneaker runs true to size. It utilizes the traditional lace-up system for an adjustable lockdown fit.

The low-top Vans Satin Patchwork Authentic displays the original Authentic silhouette that’s become recognizable and revered by most people. And building on this legacy, this sneaker incorporates contemporary details such as luxe satin patches and romantic rose embroideries for added oomph to both the shoe’s overall aesthetic and the wearer’s ensemble.

The shoe’s predominantly cream white upper offers versatility to be able to match it with a multitude of casual outfits. Ladies can pair it with an equally fun summer dress topped off with a denim jacket, while the men could keep it simple by matching the kick with light washed jeans and a shirt.

This sneaker's recognizable silhouette combined with contemporary design details offer the Authentic's loyal fans an update and a more stylish option for every day. The lux satin patches come in two different tones: pink and rose gold, adding depth and elegant details to the shoe's design, while the rose flower embroideries provide that eye-catching aesthetic.

Debuted in March 1966, Vans was formerly known as Van Doren Rubber Company and was founded by brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren along with their colleagues Gordon Lee and Serge Delia. Their first footwear model was called the Style #44 which was renamed to Vans Authentic later on.

The Vans Authentic is outfitted in a canvas upper, thick midsole, and waffle rubber outsoles, which appealed to most of the skateboarders in the 70s. During this time, skateboards didn't have grip tape yet hence skaters found the Authentic's grippy waffle outsole as practical and essential. From then on, the shoe gained a loyal following and became one of the brand's main players.

After over five decades of being in production, the standard tooling of Vans' Authentic has, for the most part, remain unaltered. The shoe is now marketed as a lifestyle pair and has been reinterpreted in countless ways. A chicer and more contemporary version of the original is the Vans Satin Patchwork Authentic. It retains the same silhouette and added stylish details of satin fabric and floral embroideries for an eye-catching aesthetic.

  • This shoe’s colorway is called “Classic White / True White.”
  • It comes in a pack that features three shoes with satin patch adornments. The Authentic is joined with the brand’s other classic silhouettes namely the SK8-Hi and the Slip-On.
  • This sneaker is crafted from animal by-product-free materials, making it vegan-friendly.
