The low-top Vans Made For The Makers Authentic UC comes in unisex sizing in medium width. It can be found in boys’ 3.5/women’s 5.0 up to men’s 13.0/women’s 14.5. It fits true to size. It has a canvas upper that delivers a sturdy and breathable fit, along with a lace-up closure that keeps things tight. Unrestricted ankle movement is possible through the shoe’s low-cut collar.

A smooth and simple look is featured in the Vans Made For The Makers Authentic UC, which comes in a monochrome black colorway. It has the classic look of the original Authentic while updating some of its features.

Jeans and a t-shirt have been the favorite outfit to pair with this model, which has a casual vibe that’s appropriate for many activities. Shorts, skirts, dresses, and many other clothing pieces could also be paired with this highly versatile sneaker.

A waterproof canvas upper sets the Vans Made For the Makers Authentic UC apart from the original model. Outwardly, it looks similar to the usual Authentic model carried by the brand, complete with the metal eyelets and flat laces. However, it has an extra cushioned insole and a more grippy outsole. Vans branding is found near the laces and on the heel tab.

In 1966, Vans first opened its doors in Anaheim, California. Not long after, the company began to carry a deck shoe dubbed as the Style #44. By the 1970s, skateboarding started to boom in the local area, with many skaters favoring the model. It had just the right type of grip on the sole, as well as having a smooth and casual style that felt appropriate for the laidback street fashion of skateboarding.

The sneaker developed a cult status, with those who were deemed cool wearing a pair. When the 1980s came around, the craze for customization took over, and the blank canvas upper of the Authentic became ideal for expressing oneself. The model's popularity has led to many collaborative designs and fresh styles over the years, with many creative individuals and labels trying their hand at redesigning the sneaker's canvas.

Vans has also released new styles for the Authentic, such as in the Made For The Makers collection. The series features sturdy shoes for tough jobs, meant for creative communities. One of the shoes in the line is the Vans Made For The Makers Authentic UC, which has an UltraCush insole and an extra grippy outsole for supreme comfort all day long. With its upgraded features, it allows wearers to do what they love while enjoying maximum comfort.

  • This shoe has a vulcanized and slip-resistant lugged outsole that offers excellent grip.
  • The upper is equipped with 8 oz Vansguard material to repel dirt and liquids.
  • Long-lasting comfort is delivered by the contoured UltraCush sock liner.
