Under Armour Street Encounter II History

Kevin Plank, then the special team’s captain of Maryland University’s football squad, thought of creating shirts for athletes that will allow them to change their T-shirt less often. That idea, in 1996, changed athletic apparel forever.  His company, Under Armour, was initially based on this innovative concept.

2 decades after its initial launch, Under Armour was able to develop several innovative sports performance wear. Aside from the apparels, they now have a wide range of accessories, footwears and equipment.

Under Armour offers various shoe models that will serve the athletes, holistically. They introduced footwear that athletes can use after the exhausting activities. They call this line the Street Encounter. This line is not exclusive to the athletes, but can also be used as a lifestyle shoe for the casual wearers. The Street Encounter line uses elastic bungee laces to secure the foot in their place.

One product under this line is the Street Encounter II, which is a subsequent model of the UA Street Encounter. This model is a slip-on design for a hassle-free use.
