Updates to Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1

  • The Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 features a Charged Foam that offers impact protection. The midsole supplies enough cushioning and lightweight response for a better running performance. Shock absorption and rebound properties are heightened with the help of the Micro G Cushioning unit.
  • The outsole features a Carbon Rubber that provides enough traction in a wide range of surfaces. Anatomical Flex Grooves are used to enhance flexibility. These are strategically designed in order to promote a better forefoot flexion.
  • The upper of the Under Armour Speedform Fortis 2.1 offers new innovations, as well. It features the UA SpeedForm Technology which molds to the runner's foot for a more precise fit. It has an Adjustable Heel Strap and a heel cup, which help in improving the overall fit of the shoe. These features hold the runner's foot in place in every running activity. The moisture-wicking property of the 4D Foam sock liner is also one of the important features of the upper area.

Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 size and fit

The Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 is true to its length and width. It has a standard running shoe length when it comes to sizing. D – Medium is the available width for the men's version and B – Medium for the women's version.


The outsole of the Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 is made up of Blown Rubber, which provides responsiveness, durability, and flexibility. Impact zones are covered without sacrificing its lightweight structure.

It has a Carbon Rubber in the forefoot and heel area, and its purpose is to provide durable traction. This is important in generating motion between the tangential surface and the runner's body.

The shoe utilizes Anatomical Flex Grooves to promote flexibility. This is significant in allowing an optimal heel-to-toe transition. Because of this technology, runners will experience a smoother ride.


The Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 utilizes a Two-piece Charged Cushioning Midsole. It is a combination of a soft and plush material on top of a denser and a harder layer of foam. This technology ensures an optimal blend of comfort and support.

A Micro G Cushioning unit is used for better shock absorption. The heel strike aims to transition to the forward motion in a smoother way, thus enabling faster and enabled steps. The Micro G foam is also utiized in the midsole of some Under Armour shoes, like the Micro G Assert 7

A Recessed Ortholite Sockliner is used for added comfort and underfoot cushioning. This technology is embedded in the midsole area to allow air to circulate in the shoe. This keeps the runner's foot cool and dry. It has an antimicrobial finish, which helps in preventing odor.

The 4D Foam Sockliner is designed to follow the contours of the underfoot. This design gives a bit of cushioning to the arch. It is also able to wick away moisture, thus maintaining a dry platform.


The upper uses a Molded Seamless Heel Cup that provides lightweight structure and support. As the shoe is worn, the rear of the runner's foot is held in place. It is a layer that provides a more secure lockdown.

An Adjustable Heel Strap is utilized on the medial and lateral areas. This plays an important role in locking the runner's foot into the shoe for a better and more improved fitting.

The UA SpeedForm Technology is a feature of the upper that offers a smoother foot wrap. This material eliminates any distraction and molds itself to the runner's foot for a more comfortable and precise fit.

The Under Armour SpeedForm Fortis 2.1 has Ultra Sonic Welded Seams with a Bemis Tape. These materials hold the foot properly to reduce any irritation that the runner might experience.
