It offers an invigorating, no-nonsense feel for both speedwork and long runs but isn't my top choice for either.

  • The Under Armour SpeedForm Europa is a road-running shoe that is suitable for overpronators. The shoe offers a conventional running shoe structure, making it ideal for beginner runners or those who run at low-to-mid mileage. It possesses a unique and customizable upper and a traditional midsole build.
  • The upper introduces a slimmed-down design that eliminates the distraction of foot movement inside the shoe with every step. It makes use of the Coreshort technology for flexible support and the UA SpeedForm® construction for a precision fit.
  • The shoe also features the Charged Cushioning® midsole that aims to provide extra responsiveness; working by projecting energy rather than absorbing it. The midsole sits on a blown rubber outsole that is lightweight and durable.

The SpeedForm Europa is structured with a standard running shoe length, thus making it true to size. With its wide toe box, the shoe is ideal for runners with a moderate- to high-volume foot. It is also able to accommodate wearers with broad toes and those with a wide toe splay. The width profiles available for men are D – Medium and 2E – Wide, while the women’s version is B – Medium.

The outsole consists of lightweight blown rubber in the forefoot that provides responsiveness and controls pronation. A high-abrasion rubber is used in the midfoot to help absorb ground contact. The overall build of the outsole is soft, responsive, and angled outward to aid in an efficient toe-off.

With flex grooves positioned in the forefoot, the shoe has an enhanced flexibility, thus allowing the foot a more natural motion.

The Charged Cushioning® midsole is designed to be responsive and to provide a quick ground feel with an impact protection.

The Micro G® technology gives shock absorption properties to the heel of the shoe as it rebounds the impact into forward-momentum for a fast takeoff. This Micro G midsole foam is also used in some Under Armour shoes, like the Assert 7

Overpronated foot motion is prevented by the Micro G Medial Post. Because it’s made of dense foam, it doesn’t sacrifice the cushioning capability of the underfoot platform.

An embedded textile sock liner conforms to the foot’s shape and provides additional underfoot cushioning.

The breathable mesh upper aims to provide a comfortable fit and an enhanced ventilation for the foot. The UA SpeedForm® construction molds the foot for a precise and distraction-free fit. With an ultrasonic welding and a seamless finish, the foot gets a second-skin sensation and zero irritation.

The Coreshort midfoot panels hold the midfoot in place, preventing any interior wobbling or displacement.

The thin tongue and collar are designed to be lightweight and breathable as it aims to deliver maximum comfort so that there is more ventilation going through and around the foot.

An external TPU heel counter offers a cradle-like structure that aims to secure the rear section of the foot. It works by locking the foot in place and anchoring it to the midsole.
