Updates to Under Armour Showstopper
- The Under Armour Showstopper is created to meet the needs of men and women who participate in rigorous physical activities. It is made of lightweight but durable materials that could endure abrasion. The upper utilizes a jacquard knit fabric with a medial dynamic strap. The materials work together to deliver a supportive structure for workouts while also allowing natural foot movements.
- Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is used to reinforce the high-wear sections of the shoe like the eyestay and toe cap. This element protects the knitted material from abrasion caused by pulling the laces and toe bumps.
- Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam makes up the midsole of the footgear. This compound is intended to absorb shock from each foot strike and use that energy to ready the foot for the next step. An additional EVA sockliner is found inside, enhancing the comfort offered by the midsole.
- Protecting the bottom of the trainer is a rubber outsole. This full-length component has a flat disposition to promote steadiness and a tread pattern that provides traction on various surfaces.
Under Armour Showstopper size and fit
The Under Armour Showstopper comes in both men’s and women’s models. They follow the standard length measurements and are obtainable in US sizes 7 to 15 for the male variant and 5 to 12 for the female version. The width profile is available in D - Medium for men and in B - Medium for women, respectively.
A rubber outsole lines the underside of this Under Armour training shoe. This material is designed to be durable to withstand the wear-and-tear of training on hard surfaces. It is fashioned to be virtually flat to provide a steady base needed for weight training.
The tread pattern on this model is crafted to provide traction on various indoor and outdoor surfaces. The outsole is also fitted with anatomically placed flex grooves that promote natural foot flexion to avoid injuries or discomfort.
The midsole of the Under Armour Showstopper is made of the full-length EVA foam. This compound is engineered to be soft to attenuate shock and use the same energy to power the next step. It is also dense to offer steadiness and prevent wobbling.
Atop the midsole is a full-length, die-cut EVA sockliner that amplifies the shock absorption of the footbed. The component also adds a customized feel to the footwear.
The Under Armour Showstopper employs a jacquard knit upper. This fabric is made lightweight and flexible to support natural foot movements. It is also breathable, ensuring that the inside is kept well-ventilated.
The trainer utilizes a traditional lacing system. A diagonally-oriented dynamic medial strap integrates with the lace-up closure and keeps the midfoot locked down. The strap is elastic, allowing the foot to expand when necessary but goes back to its original form to support the foot.
TPU is used to line the high-wear areas. The toe cap is a protective layer at the front of the shoe that shields the knitted upper in the toe area. The eyestay ensures that the eyelets won’t easily break with regular pulling of the laces.
Both the tongue and the collar are lightly padded. The tongue prevents the laces from irritating the instep, while the collar prevents chafing and heel slippage.
