Profile of the Under Armour Showstopper

The Under Armour Showstopper is created to meet the needs of men and women who participate in rigorous physical activities. It is made of lightweight but durable materials that could endure abrasion.

Outsole

A rubber outsole lines the underside of this Under Armour training shoe. This material is designed to be durable to withstand the wear-and-tear of training on hard surfaces. It is fashioned to be virtually flat to provide a steady base needed for weight training.

The tread pattern on this model is crafted to provide traction on various indoor and outdoor surfaces. The outsole is also fitted with anatomically placed flex grooves that promote natural foot flexion to avoid injuries or discomfort.

Midsole

The midsole of the Under Armour Showstopper is made of the full-length EVA foam. This compound is engineered to be soft to attenuate shock and use the same energy to power the next step. It is also dense to offer steadiness and prevent wobbling.

Atop the midsole is a full-length, die-cut EVA sockliner that amplifies the shock absorption of the footbed. The component also adds a customized feel to the footwear.

Upper

The Under Armour Showstopper employs a jacquard knit upper. This fabric is made lightweight and flexible to support natural foot movements. It is also breathable, ensuring that the inside is kept well-ventilated.

The trainer utilizes a traditional lacing system. A diagonally-oriented dynamic medial strap integrates with the lace-up closure and keeps the midfoot locked down. The strap is elastic, allowing the foot to expand when necessary but goes back to its original form to support the foot.

TPU is used to line the high-wear areas. The toe cap is a protective layer at the front of the shoe that shields the knitted upper in the toe area. The eyestay ensures that the eyelets won’t easily break with regular pulling of the laces.

Both the tongue and the collar are lightly padded. The tongue prevents the laces from irritating the instep, while the collar prevents chafing and heel slippage.
