The Under Armour Micro G Assert 7 runs half-a-size smaller; to get the right fit, one must get a bigger size. The heel and forefoot have a medium fit, and the toe box is spacious enough for toe splay. The men’s version is available in standard D – Medium width and the women’s is available in standard B – Medium.
This Under Armour shoe for running has a solid rubber outsole which is designed for durability. The rubber material protects high-abrasion areas while delivering added cushioning and flexibility. It also offers a good amount of traction for various road and paved surfaces.
In the midsole is the one-piece Micro G foam which extends from the heel to the forefoot. The foam offers responsiveness and comfortable underfoot protection.
Along with Micro G midsole foam is the EVA sock liner which also provides comfortable in-shoe feel. Aside from the enhanced underfoot protection, it also augments overall fit without adding too much weight.
The Under Armour Micro G Assert 7 uses a mesh upper for breathability and comfort. The mesh is stretchable enough to wrap the foot snugly, allowing it to move freely all throughout the run without the constricting fit. It also has a soft interior lining for a smooth in-shoe feel.
In the upper are the leather overlays that are very durable and lightweight. It offers better midfoot lockdown and structural integrity.
The shoe has an improved lace-up closure for an adjustable and secure fit. It also has padded tongue and collar for added support and comfort.
