That isn’t to say that the Longshot is a bad performer because actually, if you ignore what was missing, it performs very well (like a clone of the Curry 2).
Released in December 2016, the Under Armour Longshot was priced at $100. This mid-top has a mesh-and-leather upper. It has a Charged sockliner for an ideal fit and comfort.
For responsiveness and impact absorption, the midsole is equipped with full-length Micro G. The outsole is made of a solid rubber, and it features a multidirectional herringbone for an amazing court grip.
Cushion. The technology used in the insole of the Under Armour Longshot is Charged Cushioning. The foam molds to the foot for a comfortable ride. The midsole is packed with full-length Micro G. It is a lightweight foam that provides adequate responsiveness and comfort to the wearer.
Traction. The traction of the Under Armour Longshot comes from the multidirectional herringbone on its outsole. This traction supports both the linear and lateral movements of the wearer while delivering maximum court grip. The midfoot has a TPU shank to provide stability.
Length and Width. Under Armour creates shoes in the average length and width, and the Longshot is no exception. Though reviews vary, it is still best for new buyers to fit the shoe at the nearest shoe store before making any purchases online.
Lockdown. The Under Armour Longshot uses the traditional asymmetrical lacing system. The round shoelaces can be adjusted to achieve the desired snugness.
The upper of the Under Armour Longshot consists of mesh and soft leather. The forefoot area has fuse overlays for durability. The external TPU heel counter provides foot containment. The mesh and the perforations in the leather delivers breathability to the shoe. The inner of the shoe contains a good amount of padding that provides comfort and support to the ankles.
The mid-top Under Armour Longshot comes in multiple colorways. There are company logos located on the tongue, insole, lateral side, and outsole. The rear has TPU panels for ankle support.
The Under Armour Longshot comes in five colorways:
- Blue Drift/Island Blues/Metallic Silver
- Artillery Green/Atlas Green/Graphite
- Black/Rhino Gray
- White/Phoenix Fire/Black
- White/Ultra Blue/Blackout Navy
