Under Armour Charged Pursuit 2 summary

The Under Armour Charged Pursuit 2 Twist is not the prototypical running shoe that other companies have pushed. It doesn't have flashy looks or aerodynamic designs that make it look like it’s from the future. With all that said, this shoe is comfortable, and runs great. With the mesh body construction, your foot can breathe, and feel cushioned by the deluxe foam sole.

Wide feet friendly

While some brands don’t cater to wide feet, this Under Armour shoe gives plenty of room for wider feet. While I don’t have wide feet, I know that the Charged Pursuit 2 does not feel constricting on my feet. Some brands like Nike are built very slimly and feel that way, but these do not.

Solid comfort with good grip

Foot-to-ground connection with the Charged Pursuit 2 is good. While you have plenty of cushion on the Charged Pursuit 2 when your feet are in them, you still get a good feel for the ground beneath you when you're pounding away, be it a treadmill, sidewalk, or dirt path.

Run, jog or walk in comfort

The Charged Pursuit 2 is great for pretty much anything you need to do. Lace them up and your feet will feel like they have been tucked into a comfortable bed.

No break-in time in the Charged Pursuit 2

I have to say that these looked very much like the type of shoe would be ready to run in. No need to worry about your feet being mad at you after your first run…at least, not from the Charged Pursuit 2.

Weight is not an issue

The Charged Pursuit 2 tips the scales at approximately 10.7 oz (303g), which is pretty competitive. This is courtesy of both lightweight upper and sole materials used in this trainer.

The UA Charged Pursuit 2 offers great durability

After two weeks of training in the Charged Pursuit 2, they feel just as great as the first day I put them on. I would say that once you get comfortable in these, they may turn into your everything shoes. That might affect the life of these, but you’ll get plenty of life out of these, and be comfortable the whole time doing it.

Decent lockdown

The Charged Pursuit 2 are not marathoners. You can lace them up and feel comfortable, but you will not get a solid crushing lockdown out of these. Some people might be turned off by that, but really they are comfortable to wear. If you want something that really gives you a solid lockdown, this is not your shoe.

Built for comfort, not speed

The Charged Pursuit 2 was built with comfort as the primary focus, and it really shows in the fit. Don’t buy these to knock off that extra few seconds off your splits, buy them because you want something comfortable.

Breathable ++

Breathability was not in question for the Pursuit 2, with the mesh construction of the shoe, it provides amazing airflow to your foot, allowing your feet to stay cool, even on warm days or during intense workouts.

Moderate price, but it fits

Retails at $70, this shoe is very affordable. Aside from the elastic bands, the Charged Pursuit 2 is pretty well constructed. I don't think you are getting a steal on the Charged Pursuit 2, but you are definitely getting what you paid for.

If you want comfortable, serviceable running shoes to lace up when you want to jog, walk or go to your favorite theme park in, this should be your go-to.
