Bottom line

Just when Wilson loyalists thought the brand had exhausted all when it dropped the powerhouse third-gen Rush Pro, they received another pumped-up treatment. This time it’s the release of the Wilson Rush Pro 3.0. Such an all-court successor retained the best attributes of the previous cut, but with much-improved ventilation in a lighter built. It’s quite pricier than the earlier dynamo, but the added cost is equivalent to oodles of benefits geared for comfort and stability.

Wilson added up another speedy and lightweight rendition of the Rush Pro by dropping the fourth-generation model. Wilson Rush Pro 3.0 features the Sensifeel 2.0 technology, eliminating a layer of synthetic on the upper to reveal the mesh membrane. Such minimally-styled cover welcomes improved breathability to cater to the comfort requirements of bullet-speed pro players who want to level up their game.

Material. Duralast is a rubber compound attached to the base of the shoe, which is suitable on any court surface. Such dense material has a strong capability to resist abrasion, thus extending the life to the shoe.

Traction. Its non-marking, modified herringbone tread pattern is created to offer a balance of give and grip. The base is made with such wavy-looking design to assist quick-footed players when sliding, pivoting, and transitioning to the next step, limiting unwanted slips.

Durability assurance. Like the Rush Pro 2.5, this edition is granted with an outsole durability guarantee, a one-time replacement assurance that allows the user to a one-time replacement of the shoe for the damaged outsole. The outsole should be entirely spoiled into the midsole to be deemed fit for this six-month warranty.

Cushioning. To help the user achieve a dynamic performance, the horizontal, mid-section of the shoe is layered with the R-DST+ cushioning technology. Such component is made out of highly-compressed ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) foam to buffer impact from the foot and deliver energy return. This tier minimizes strong blows that can lead to foot fatigue and injuries.

Support. The 4D Support Chassis, a platform right below the mid arch is integrated into the design to lessen torsional rotation and supination. This piece of shank resists twisting during pivots and take-offs so the foot can prepare to take up forceful strokes without losing stability.

Drop. This shoe employs the DF2 (Dynamic Fit) with an offset of 9mm between the height of the heel and forefoot. Such a minimal sole thickness gives the wearer a close-to-the-ground contact for enhanced court performance.

Composition. The outer membrane utilized the Sensifeel 2.0 technology, which keeps the structure in minimal layers. It specifically utilized an engineered mesh material to allow air to circulate inside the shoe and to grant comfort.

Fit. The foot is welcomed by the Endofit element, a sock construction that works as a second skin. It offers a glove-like fit to ensure the foot remains stable and comfortable.

  • Prior to the release of the Wilson Rush Pro 3.0, the brand has introduced the Wilson Rush Pro, Wilson Rush Pro 2.0, and Wilson Rush Pro 2.5 models.
  • The six-month durability guarantee is void if the cause of the damage to the outsole is due to misuse, mishandling, and abuse.
